Singaporeans seemingly can’t resist the adorable allure of Sanrio‘s cast of characters, and that’s evident with Taiwanese cafe Wong Fu Fu‘s new Hangyodon collaboration pop-up launching on 7 Jan 2026!

Wong Fu Fu previously held pop-ups in the past, featuring the likes of Crayon Shin-chan in Jun 2025 and Cinnamoroll in Sep 2025. In fact, I visited them to cover the latter back when I first started working here at SETHLUI.com. Time truly flies.

Start your meal off with Hangyodon’s Ocean Feast (S$24.90), 1 of 3 mains available with the pop-up. Blue-coloured Taiwanese rice is shaped into Hangyodon’s face and laid in a bed of savoury cream sauce. It’s accompanied by a small basket of fried seafood sides like sotong rings, fried prawns, and scallops.
Hangyodon’s silly face was so cute that I struggled to scoop a spoonful of rice, not wanting to destroy it. That’s how you know Wong Fu Fu has achieved artistic mastery.

If you prefer something to cool off and counter Singapore’s heat, try Hangyodon’s Chilled Ramen (S$23.90). The cold ramen’s taste reminded me of cold soba, and it paired well with the vegetables, which gave it a healthy crunch. Everything is packed compactly into a bowl and splashed with dashi sauce.
Picky eaters can try Hangyodon’s Mantou Burger (S$21.90), a juicy beef patty served between special Hangyodon-shaped buns and paired with curly fries. It also comes with a vegetarian option, substituting the beef patty with a plant-based alternative.

Hangyodon’s Chilled Ramen also comes with a complimentary Hangyodon Toy worth S$9.90. The character and pouch can be separated, making it the perfect display piece or keychain to hang around your bag.

Just like Wong Fu Fu’s previous collaborations, sides come in a special snack box designed with the collaboration character in mind. This time, we had their Crispy Taiwan Salt and Pepper Chicken (S$13.90), a crunchy fried chicken treat. I actually mistook the salted flavours for salted egg, given how common it is in Singapore.
I also recommend trying their Golden Fried Tater Tots (S$12.90) and Taiwan Sweet Potato Fried with Plum Powder (S$12.90). Unfortunately, the tater tots don’t come with my favourite fried mochi balls as they did during the Cinnamoroll pop-up. Oh well, there’s always more to come.

Still hungry for dessert? Wong Fu Fu’s Bubbling Fun Hangyodon Swiss Roll (S$14.90) has got you covered! The Swiss Roll’s pillow-like softness was unreal, with bubblegum-flavoured cream piped between the crevices.

Of course, no pop-up is complete without a spread of trendy lattes, and Wong Fu Fu offers quite a few. I enjoyed their Ocean Breeze Iced Cafe Latte (S$11.90) and Ocean Friend Strawberry Field Matcha Latte (S$12.90). Once again, I’m bewildered how the matcha trend is still going strong, but I will gladly accept it if it continues to produce quality cafe drinks.
A purely matcha variant is also available with their regular Ocean Friend Matcha Latte (S$11.90). You’re really spoilt for options here, so go wild!
Wong Fu Fu’s Hangyodon pop-up launches on 7 Jan 2026; you’ll be (figuratively) swimming with the fishes in no time! As always, remember that they have a minimum S$20 spent per-pax rule for all menu items, collaboration or not.
