Quick Summary

Singapore’s wellness scene spans communal bathhouses, recovery studios and quieter spaces offering cold plunges or ice baths alongside saunas, hot baths, steam rooms and recovery facilities. This round-up covers wellness places across Singapore, with options for social sessions, thermal circuits and more private experiences, with prices and access details for a range of preferences.

Wellness places such as bathhouses, recovery studios and ice baths have become very popular in Singapore. From communal bathhouses in the CBD to quieter recovery spaces, there are plenty of options depending on whether you want a social experience, a proper thermal circuit or a more private wellness session.

Best wellness places - introduction

Here are 10 wellness places in Singapore to consider if you want to try an ice bath, cold plunge, sauna & moreMany of them offer a range of recovery facilities, so you’ll be able to try different forms of therapy in one visit.

How I chose the best wellness places

These are the 3 main criteria I used to decide which wellness places to recommend:

  • Facilities: The main criterion — these wellness places contain several facilities so you can try different types of therapy.
  • Setting: The very close second factor — all have a comfortable ambience and soothing atmosphere for relaxing.
  • Accessibility: A very close third — I included wellness spaces located in different parts of Singapore so you can pick the one most convenient for you.

This isn’t a ranked best-to-worst wellness place list, but a collection of the best in my opinion, in no particular order. In the price column, the lower end of the price range is the cost of a single day or single visit. The higher value is the cost of the most expensive package or membership, not the cost of one visit.

1. Nowhere Baths

Located at Dempsey Road, Nowhere Baths is a modern bathhouse designed with the aim of encouraging everyone to experience the joy of bathing. I like that the space feels like a complete journey, with the facilities meant for soaking, sweating, steaming, and finally resting.

It features 2 hot pools and a cold plunge meant for soaking and relaxing. Beyond that, there is a sauna and steam room that you can head to and further loosen up any tension in your body. Lastly, end off by resting in their lounge and relaxing further.

Their hot pools are kept at around 39-40°C, perfect for warming up the body and unwinding. If you need something revitalising, hop into their 13°C cold plunge. The sauna is kept at 85-90°C, boosting your circulation and flushing out toxins with deep sweat. For something less intense, I would go for their steam room instead, with temperatures at around 42-45°C

Do note that it’s women-only on Mon and mixed-gender on Tue to Sun. Towels are provided for your convenience.

Pricing is as follows:

  • 2-Hour Pass (Tue to Sun): S$55/day

2. The Ice Bath Club

Aptly named, The Ice Bath Club’s star is its… you guess it, ice bath. Their cold baths are large communal plunge pools which are kept at 3-10°C to truly wake you up. Besides the ice bath, it also has its fiery sibling, a hot bath. But it’s not just any hot bath; it’s a hot magnesium salt bath.

For the social butterflies reading this, you’ll be pleased to know that they have something very unique: a social sauna. This concept is particularly intriguing to me; I’ve always thought a wellness place is more of a solo activity, but my ideals have definitely been challenged. The communal setup gives the place a noticeably more social atmosphere than a typical spa, perfect for mingling.

I anticipate myself getting hungry after all that relaxing, so I’ll definitely head to their cafe to fill my tummy up. If you’re thirsty, the cafe serves up coffee and protein smoothies. That’s not all — there are also acai bowls, healthy sandwiches and other tasty treats to savour.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Single Pass (Daily, 7am – 10pm): S$55/day
  • Single Off Peak (Mon to Fri, 10am – 5pm): S$45/day
  • 14-Day Full Access (unlimited access): S$180/14 days

3. Bathhouse

Best wellness places - Bath House

Northeasters, rejoice! Bathhouse, located in The Sports Arina is a great option for you to relax and unwind. You’ll be able to choose the temperature of your ice bath as well, with 2 ice baths available: 1 kept at 5-7°C and the other at 10-12°C

I appreciate having 2 different cold pools to choose from, as it helps to make the experience less intimidating, especially if you’re new to cold-water immersion. I’d personally start off with the warmer plunge before moving on to the colder one once I’ve had some time to acclimatise to the temperature. If you’re like me and don’t exactly relish the thought of hopping straight into 5°C water, having these options makes a world of difference.

For the less chilly part of the space, there’s also a dry sauna and a 38-42°C hot bath if you want to be enveloped in warmth. Something unique here is their recovery suite, which has 2x compression boots to aid recovery.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Off-Peak Drop-in (Mon to Fri, 10am – 4.30pm): S$22/day
  • Peak Drop-in (Mon to Fri, 4.30pm – 10.30pm): S$29/day
  • 3 Session Trial Pack: S$59/3 sessions
  • Off-Peak Monthly (Mon to Fri, 10am – 5pm): S$119/month
  • All-Access Monthly (unlimited visits, anytime): S$159/month
  • All-Access Yearly (unlimited visits, anytime): S$1,548/year

4. Capybara Bathing Singapore

Best wellness places - Capybara Bathing

You can channel your inner capybara at Capybara Bathing Singapore, located along Tras Street. Why “inner capybara”, you may ask? Well, if you’re like me and spend way too much time doomscrolling capybara videos online, you would know they’re often found near water, either soaking in it or lounging nearby with a zen look on their faces.

Capybaras are also social creatures, so the communal bathing experience here feels rather fitting. The space includes a cold plunge, mineral bath, steam room, and hot stone sauna, so there are plenty of ways to alternate between hot and cold temperatures.

The highlight for me is definitely the heated lounge, where you can sit on the warm bench and unwind with a book or cup of tea. I would probably spend longer there than expected. Be sure to try the refreshing ice scrub too. The contrast between the warm surroundings and icy scrub sounds like a surprisingly refreshing way to end off the session.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Casual Drop-in (90 minutes): S$55
  • Off-Peak weekly (Mon to Fri, unlimited visits, 90 minutes): S$75/week
  • Full Access weekly (unlimited visits, 90 minutes): S$95/week
  • Off-Peak 5 passes (Mon to Fri, 90 days expiry): S$250
  • 10 passes (Full access, 180 days expiry): S$535
  • 20 passes (Full access, 180 days expiry): S$1,030
  • Yearly Ritual (Full Access, unlimited visits, 90 minutes): S$3,900/year

5. The Calla Project

Best wellness places - The Calla Project

The Calla Project is a women-focused wellness destination on Holland Avenue founded by a former gymnast. The space is split into 2 concepts, Recharge and Nourish, giving you the option to focus on wellness, wind down over food and drinks or both. You’ll be able to achieve the 3Rs here — not reuse, reduce and recycle, but rest, reset and recover. Recharge is their wellness sanctuary, equipped with a sauna, hot mineral bath, 12–15°C cold plunge, bucket showers, and an outdoor terrace.

The cold plunge here is less extreme than some others on this list, making it a more approachable option if you’re still dipping your toes into cold-water therapy. As a newbie to wellness, I would probably start here before working my way towards colder temperatures elsewhere. Don’t miss Nourish, their cafe. Treat your taste buds to their breakfast bowls and herbal latte. It’s a nice way to round off a wellness session without rushing off immediately.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Day Pass (full-day access to all facilities): S$50/day
  • 5-Session Pack (valid 30 days from first visit): S$225/pack
  • 10-Session Pack (valid 60 days from first visit): S$400/pack
  • 15-Session Pack (valid 90 days from first visit): S$500/pack
  • 35-Session Pack / Annual Pass (valid 365 days from first visit): S$999/pack

6. Sauna Bath House

Best wellness places - Sauna Bathhouse

Calling all CBD workers, treat yourself to a relaxing day at Sauna Bath House. Conveniently located in Singapore Land Tower at Raffles Place, it opens from 7am on weekdays. This makes it easy to squeeze in a wellness session before work or during your lunch break. No more excuses; you’ll definitely be able to fit a wellness session into your day here.

Feeling lethargic from the morning blues or post-work slump? Wake yourself up with a dip in their cold plunge. If diving straight into chilly water sounds a little too scary, you can ease into the experience with one of their ice shower stations instead.

For those who prefer something warmer, try their 95°C dry performance sauna. If that sounds a little too hot, there’s also an 85°C Aufguss room, where you can enjoy a gentler sauna experience. You can also soak in the 41–42°C hot pool if you’d prefer. Personally, I’d probably start with the ice shower to truly refresh myself.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Walk-in (2-hour visit): S$55/day
  • Full Day (unlimited in-and-out, sauna only): S$68/day
  • 2-Week Off-Peak Trial (unlimited off-peak sauna for 14 days): S$75/14 days
  • SBH First Timer (5 x 2-hour sessions + 1 free Red Light session): S$99
  • House Lite (12 x 2-hour sessions/month, off-peak): S$150/month

7. Shelter by ReFormd

Shelter by ReFormd emphasises that it’s neither a spa nor a gym, but a recovery sanctuary. I can definitely see why when I see their design-forward recovery space. Founded by the ReFormd group, this space aims to provide a peaceful recovery experience from the stress of daily life with the power of the good ol’ heat and cold.

With a warm sauna of up to 90°C, you can be sure that all the stress from your daily life will just melt away. No better way to cool down than to head into their ice baths, which are set at 3°C, 5°C and 10°C; you’re sure to refresh both your mind and body.

Dip into their salt pool, rich with magnesium that will provide you with a warm soak, relaxing your muscles. Plus, if you often find yourself on your feet all day, there’s compression therapy as well. Call me materialistic if you want, but there are also Aesop amenities available for use throughout the space. I’ll definitely be using them, thank you very much.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Off Peak (9am – 11am, 2pm – 4pm): S$40/day
  • Day Pass (1 visit): S$50/day
  • Membership (unlimited access): S$65/week

8. Plunge Club Singapore

Best wellness places - Plunge Club Singapore

Be prepared to plunge into cold waters at Plunge Club Singapore. But there’s more than just a cold plunge here, with 6 main spaces designed around heat, cold and recovery.

Start in their 95°C hot stone sauna, which can fit up to 40 people and features authentic European Aufguss rituals. Next up, cool off with their 4°C and 8°C cold plunges. If you’re a daredevil, go for their 4°C plunge first. Unfortunately, I’m weak and scared, so I’ll definitely start off with the 8°C plunge.

Besides the heat and cold, you’ll also get to experience zero gravity beds, compression boots and red light therapy, all to boost your mind and body to come out of your session more relaxed and comfortable. After all your wellness rituals, head over to the recovery lounge to unwind. The last 2 spaces are the changing rooms and showers meant for refreshing and resetting.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Single Off Peak (Mon to Fri, 10am – 5pm): S$39
  • Single Drop-in (anytime access): S$52
  • First Visit Trial (14 days unlimited access): S$99
  • 10 Sessions Pack (shareable): S$350

9. Homing Inn

Best wellness places - Homing Inn

Homing Inn is perfect if you want a more guided approach to wellness. It’s by appointment only, with private 90-minute sessions; this is likely to be the choice for people who are shy or introverted. The founder, Chun, is Singapore’s first certified Wim Hof Method instructor, sharing insights on breathwork and cold exposure since 2018.

Homing Inn isn’t your typical wellness spot — it operates out of a home studio instead of a spot in a mall or shophouse. I imagine this would be great for someone who wants to try a more intimate and private wellness experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The space has an ice tub for you to take a cold plunge in; if not, sweat all your stress out with their infrared sauna. End off your session with a cup of soothing tea to nourish your body. Fresh towels and shower facilities are available here as well despite its unconventional setting, so fret not.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Breathwork & Ice Bath (1 hour 30 minutes, group): S$85

10. RE+

Best wellness places - RE+

RE+ sounds like a math or chemical equation, but it’s the name of a wellness spot which aims to improve the health and performance of its guests.

You can expect 2 cold plunges here, which are the it-girls of their facilities. The more demure one sits at 8-10°C, while its bolder sibling sits at 5-8°C if you’re ready for the cold challenge. Do note that the temperatures in each pool may vary by +/-2°C, but you’ll still get a refreshing, beneficial plunge.

Relax in their mineral soak pool, which is maintained at 40°C. Designed to be restorative and comforting, it features jacuzzi jets, which help to melt away all the tension in your body. Plus, it promotes down-regulation for more thorough and effectual rest.

If that’s not hot enough for you, go over to their 90°C hot sauna. It has optimised heating with a world-class Finnish stove and 30kg of natural rocks, so you get only the best. Lastly, decompress with their compression boots, which have 6 chambers to target all parts of the leg, best for people who are always on the go.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Drop In: S$49.95/day
  • 5 Sessions Trial (14-day validity, not shareable): S$75/14 days

How to choose a wellness place for your needs

Choose based on the facilities, setting and level of cold exposure you are comfortable with. Nowhere Baths suits a full thermal circuit, while The Ice Bath Club is geared towards communal sessions and socialising. Bathhouse and The Calla Project offer relatively warmer cold plunges for those easing into cold-water immersion, while Plunge Club Singapore and Shelter by ReFormd have colder plunge options.

Capybara Bathing Singapore adds a heated lounge and ice scrub, while Sauna Bath House works for CBD workers seeking a pre-work or post-work session. For a more private experience, choose Homing Inn, while RE+ combines thermal facilities with compression therapy.
