Founded in 2016, the retailer brings together officially licensed merchandise from popular film, television and fantasy franchises. Potterheads can look forward to items inspired by Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, while fans of Game of Thrones, The Hobbit, Stranger Things, Marvel, DC Comics and Studio Ghibli will have plenty to browse too.

You might find something to add to your display shelf, a souvenir featuring your favourite character or a gift for that friend who can recite the entire film from memory.

Beyond the merchandise, House of Spells aims to make the shopping experience part of the attraction. Its stores feature fantasy-inspired interiors, atmospheric lighting and interactive displays designed to evoke the fictional worlds behind the products. Staff who share an enthusiasm for these franchises are also available to help visitors explore the collections.

The brand operates several stores across the UK, including in London, Liverpool and Stratford-upon-Avon, as well as an outlet in New York City. Its Kuala Lumpur opening marks its first move into Asia, giving Malaysian fans a new place to discover officially licensed merchandise without travelling overseas.

Do note that the exact look and layout of the KL store have yet to be revealed.

Situated at 118 Mall within the Merdeka 118 precinct in KL, the opening House of Spells could be a fun addition to your next shopping trip, even if you only intend to browse. After all, resisting a collectible featuring your favourite character is one thing; having an entire store of them in front of you is another.
