Apricot by Peaches and Cream has opened its doors at MyTOWN Shopping Centre in Cheras, turning what used to feel like a special excursion for European dining into something delightfully within reach.

Chef Victor Yap’s vision anchors the space with a clear intention. Apricot was created to make the simple joy of European cafe life part of Malaysia’s everyday rhythm. It is bright, welcoming and wonderfully easygoing, with halal certification in the works so everyone can pull up a chair.

The cafe brings a breezy charm that nudges you to slow down, sip something warm and relish the pleasure of good company any day of the week.

Apricot by Peaches and Cream - Food

A handful of hot dishes round out the experience with options such as Beanie Shakshuka (RM29), Peaches & Cream Pizza (RM35) and Salmon Lemon Butter (RM46), not forgetting the pancakes that arrive as a weekend-worthy treat.

Still, it is the Dessert Tree that inevitably steals the spotlight. This centrepiece beckons guests to choose their treat from an artful display before a ribbon of custard is poured over it right at the table.

Apricot by Peaches and Cream - Victoria & apricot

Among the sweet picks are the Victoria Sponge (RM19), a tender butter cake layered with homemade mixed berry jam and butter icing, and the Apricot Velvet (RM24), a lush velvet cake with cream cheese frosting.

Apricot by Peaches and Cream - Meringue & mocha gateau

The French Meringue (RM19) brings yoghurt and berries into soft harmony, while the Mocha Gateau (RM24) layers chocolate and coffee with silky ganache and cream cheese.

Apricot by Peaches and Cream - Hummingbird & orange

There is also the Hummingbird Cake (RM19) that folds banana, pineapple and a trio of seeds into a fragrant slice, and the Flourless Orange Almond Cake (RM19) made with whole oranges, almonds — completely gluten-free.

Apricot makes it far too easy to linger a little longer than intended and even easier to promise yourself a return visit before you’ve finished the last bite. Make sure to drop by the next time you’re at MyTOWN!
