Have you ever craved for both rosti and Taiwanese-based desserts at the same time? Well, if you by any chance do, Baole Desserts recently opened on 16 Jan 2023 at 190 Toa Payoh Lorong 6, serving both at wallet-friendly prices.

Baole Desserts is a brand new takeaway kiosk that features a combination of Taiwanese and Singaporean flavours for both dessert and rosti.
For starters, their dessert has 3 handcrafted bases to choose from. You have the Soyabean Base that’s made by using fresh pandan leaves with a touch of almond essence, followed by the Grass Jelly Base which is made also of fresh pandan leaves with Thai brown sugar. Finally, the Aiyu Jelly Base consists of Osmanthus tea and a fresh lemongrass base.

You can have your dessert in single bases such as the Refreshing Aiyu (S$4) or Mango Q Grass Jelly (S$3.90), though why not have all 3 bases at one go with Red Taro (S$5) and Chendol Taro (S$5)!
Their rosti uses a 5 spice powder blend to season the potato strips and whilst being cooked, a hole is formed in the centre for an egg to be cooked in it.

The rostis are equally as varied as their dessert menu. You’ve got 6 options to choose from, such as Cappin Duck (S$11.90), 3 Way Chicken (S$8.90), Vegetarian (S$7.90), Seafood Mentaiko (S$10.90) and Signature (S$5.90).
Their current best-seller is the Flaming Beef (S$9.90), which contains scorched Taiwanese beef cubes on top of the rosti, followed by a generous amount of mozzarella cheese and drizzles of teriyaki and Kewpie mayo.
Get yourself a rosti with dessert and you’re sorted!
