In Jul 2022, Yummy Tummy Bakes, a home-based business known for their renowned curry bombs, opened their very first take-away kiosk at NEWest Mall. Within a mere 16 months, owner, Su Wen has expanded further with the launch of a dine-in eatery called Boss Tofu. It is located just a few units away within the same mall.

Upon the cafeteria’s launch, Su Wen initially intended to exclusively showcase yong tau foo and her renowned curry bombs, leading to the fitting name, Boss Tofu. After thoughtful consideration and acknowledging her family’s expertise in curry, she decided to change direction and centre her culinary offerings around her curry rice instead.

There’s a trio of curry rice sets on offer, each priced at S$7.50. Indulge in the sinful and flavourful Pork Belly Set for a delectable experience. For enthusiasts of fried delights, the Pork Cutlet Set is a must-try.

Purists need not fret, as the classic Curry Chicken Drumstick Set is also on offer. All of the sets come with a runny sunny-side up and braised cabbage.

Selecting a location for her cafeteria just a few units away from the take-away kiosk where Su Wen bakes her curry bombs was a strategic decision. This not only helps in minimising transportation costs but also provides customers with the opportunity to relish the freshly-baked curry bombs right out of the oven.

You’re also given the freedom to select the bun flavour to complement your curry bomb. Enjoy simple options like Soft Fluffy Plain Bun and Soft Fluffy Curry Bun or indulge in fancier ones like Cheddar Cheese Coated with Parmesan Cheese (+S$4) and the Crispy Bolo Bun (+S$8).
