Broth & Beyond, a new Yunnan hotpot restaurant, is the latest addition to CHIJMES’s lineup of restaurants and the brand’s first-ever Singapore outlet.
Inspired by the flavours of rural Yunnan, also known as China’s “Natural Oxygen Bar”, it promises more than just food. The hotpot broths supposedly contain the province’s fresh and rich flavours, providing diners with an ecological dining experience.
Signature Black Truffle Assorted Mushroom (S$15.90) and Premium Golden Fungus Chicken Broth (S$15.90) are examples of the flavours offered. For indecisive choosers, the Spicy + Pork Bone Broth (S$13.90) gives you the best of both worlds.
Each seat has a designated stove for your soup, so you won’t have to share a communal pot even during group hotpot sessions. It’s individually portioned as well – great if you prefer dining solo!
To celebrate the opening, Broth & Beyond is holding an opening promotion of 50% off selected meat and seafood items from 10 to 30 Apr. During this promotional period, you can indulge in premium ingredients like Australia MBS 7 Short Ribs (U.P. $52.99) and Signature Jasmine Flower Shrimp Paste (U.P. We got to try the Pork & Beef Platter (pork belly & collar + beef tongue) (U.P. S$36.99) and the Seafood Platter (S$43.99), which are also applicable for the promo. To complete the meal, we’d recommend adding a Veggie Basket (S$16.99) and an appetiser like the crispy Buckwheat Sticks (S$8.99).
Besides the promo, a Flavour Discovery Set allows diners to select a broth from the 8 choices and a drink (U.P. S$8.80) from the options Honey Lime Soda and Summer Sparkling Rose. It costs S$29.90 for meat like Boneless Chicken or Pork Belly and S$39.90 for premium choices like Seafood Set or Wagyu Short Plate.
The Set includes a Deluxe Veggie Set with vegetables like napa cabbage, you mai and black fungus as well as access to the Market Table (U.P. S$4.99 per pax), a buffet station with over 30 appetisers, cold dishes and desserts.
