Chojiro opens its first outlet outside Japan selling traditional-style sushi dishes

If you’re a fan of sushi, you have to check out Chojiro. The popular sushi conveyor belt restaurant from Osaka, Japan, has opened its first-ever branch outside of its home country at Capital Square.

Known for their authenticity and extraordinary fresh sushi and sashimi, the 47-seater restaurant in Singapore will boast an exciting menu of traditional Japanese food like soups, grilled and fried dishes, cold side dishes and sashimi, and over 60 types of sushi for you to choose from.

They also serve assorted sushi platters, rolls, rice bowls, tempura, noodles, salads, and desserts that are made to order and can’t be found on the belt.

A popular item on their menu is their traditional steamed sushi from Kyoto, Japan. Served with sushi rice, fresh salmon, scallop, unagi, sweet shrimp, and ikura at only S$16.90++ per pax, the unique part about this dish is that it comes in a wooden box with a fire lit underneath it to keep it piping hot.

Another fish to look out for will be their signature Natural Blue Fin Tuna which will be available as sashimi, sushi roll, or nigiri.

They also have new items on their menu like the Deep-fried Tuna Roll. However, if you’d like to go back to what you’re familiar with, they also have the Maguro Set (S$34.99)Aburi Sushi Set (S$22.90), Chojiro Set (S$24.99), and many more. For the booze heads, their drinks menu offers a wide range of sake and shochu, and they also have Suntory Premium Malt beer on tap.
