If there’s something I love, it’s a good sandwich—paninis, bagels, you name it, I’ll love it. The perennial cafe fare is usually associated with aesthetic, casual spaces, but take it up a notch with KM Bagel & Waffle —you’ll still be able to feast on thicc sandwiches, but in a swanky bar at Tanjong Pagar.

Make sure you iron your best jacket and put your high heels on, because your next brunch experience is so atas, you might feel like an honourary character in Crazy Rich Asians. The interior of the bar is also circular in shape, much like the bagel you’ll be sinking your teeth into.

KM Bagel & Waffle is co-owned by a chef who cooked for Team Great Britain’s athletes during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Mariusz Grzes—these bagels and waffles will be fit for champions, and that’s a promise. I’m personally most intrigued by the combination of Octopus & Waffle ($34). It’s an unorthodox combination, but one that seafood lovers shouldn’t pass up. Speaking of seafood, the Lobster Scramble (S$28) isn’t to be missed either—think of fluffy miso scrambled eggs and fresh chunks of lobster nestled on top, complete with furikake and tobiko.

You’ve most probably heard of the elite combination of chicken n’ waffles, but let me do you one better. KM Bagel & Waffle is offering Braised Beef Cheek Waffle (S$34), where the braised beef is cooked until fork-tender perfection and served with crispy, golden waffles. Waffles may be breakfast foods, but I wouldn’t mind eating this for lunch and dinner as well.

If you want to give it all a shot, the Signature 5 Course Chef’s Curation (S$118) will fill your tummy with a plethora of starters, canapes, and two mains—Duck & Waffles, and Lobster & Clams, the latter of which is served sandwiched inside a toasted bagel. KM Bagel & Waffle will make sure you leave on a sugar high with their Mochiko Waffles—think chewy mochi waffles, lavender salted caramel, citrus chantilly, berry compote, and more.
