Interior of Dough

It’s hard to say when we’ve reached the saturation point with cafes. Every time you think we’re had enough, another one pops up, and we’re in love all over again. This time it’s Dough by Glyph Supply Co. What’s not to love? The space is set up at CHIJMES, and the interior checks all the boxes for calming cafe aesthetics. The marble tabletops, along with the beautiful teal La Marzocco machine, is just everything. Indeed, a pan on Instagram will elicit a ton of DMs flooding into your inbox, asking, “Where? Where? Where?”

For those serious coffee drinkers, you’d know that Glyph Supply Co is just as serious about their cuppa. So, they take that same focus and attention to detail to their cup of Joe at Dough.

Table of assorted bakes from Dough

Alright, it’s time to get in the dough of the matter. Here, you can find the likes of Babka (S$9), a chocolatey twirl of bread that’s laced with hazelnuts and a perfect accompaniment to coffee. If not, go for the sweet and dainty Strawberry Brioche (S$5), where it comes with an enriched and buttery bun with a heaping dollop of strawberry meringue. Not to mention, the strawberry meringue is tinged with fresh, herbaceous basil notes—a total brownie point for me (no irony intended).

Pair this with a cup of Matcha (S$6/S$7) or Dough’s White (S$5/ S$6). If you’re feeling indulgent, order yourself an Affogato (S$7). After all, there’s nothing that a scoop of ice cream and espresso shot won’t solve. Or, if you require some savouries, try your hand at their Spicy Kimchi & Tomato (S$22) pasta or their juicy Wagyu Burger (S$26) that comes with an onion jam and juicy beef patty.

With such a delicious selection of drinks, savouries, and bakes, nothing is stopping you from making a trip down.
