Durian season this year has seen an abundant supply due to the favourable climate for a bountiful harvest. It’s also the first time that I’ve had to seek advice from fellow durian-lovers about where to get the best quality, the cheapest, the tastiest and the most unique durian creations.
The responses have been varied, so to spare you the hassle of narrowing down your options, here are nine durian awards for those that we feel are most deserving!

Each GrabDurian box is priced from S$55 onwards and weighs 400g (that’s around a whole durian’s worth of flesh in each box), vacuum-packed and ready to be eaten. 8. Most Unique Durian Dish (Kampung Chicken Durian at Yassin Kampung)
We’ve had our fair share of odd durian dishes come to light given this bountiful durian season. One durian creation that really impressed us was the Kampung Chicken Durian (S$20/S$30) from Yassin Kampung.
Not only was the aroma unmistakable, but the sight of thick durian flesh also made me extremely excited to take a bite.
My verdict? I was on the fence about how it tasted. There was a beautiful sticky sweet-sour taste that is exactly how I love my durians, but the presence of the chicken really threw me off.
My brain was struggling to process this confusion as I shifted back and forth constantly between loving the dish and disliking it. After much reflection, I would recommend this dish. In fact, I’m craving for it right now.

9. Most Attractive Instagram Account Of Men With Durians (@hotdudeswithdurian)
This last award was certainly a fun one to award to. For some cheeky fun, we just had to include this one because perhaps you’re not a super fan of durian, but you love gazing upon hot guys with durians?

@hotdudeswithdurian is a great way to enjoy durian without having to figure out a way to handle the smell and thorns. The best part is that their posts include men from all over the world, so there’s a hot bod for everyone to ogle at!
The only “heatiness” you’ll have to deal with here is from lingering a lil’ too long on this Instagram account.
