New in town: Edition — Hotel rooftop bar & restaurant serving Asian-Western dishes by chef with 18 years of experience

A new contemporary diner has opened in Dhoby Ghaut. Edition Rooftop Bar & Restaurant is a chic new gastro bar located on the rooftop of Citadines Connect City Centre Hotel.

Opened in early September, Edition Rooftop Bar & Restaurant spans over 3,000 square feet and boasts a gorgeous view of lush greenery and the hotel pool. The restaurant is helmed by Chef Gabriel Cher, who has worked in the F&B business for almost 18 years.

Dig into Edition’s starters, like Edition’s Cioppino (S$18), made with white wine, tomato seafood broth, clams, prawns, basil and parsley, the Ultimate Prawn Cocktail (S$24), consisting of tiger prawns, house dressing, mesclun leaves, pickled baby radish, seaweed sesame and cherry tomato confit, and Toast to Fungi (S$16), containing spinach puree, mushrooms, demi glace, garlic aoili, truffle oil and chives atop sourdough toast.

Edition’s mains consist of dishes such as the Ragù Alla Short Ribs (S$28), a linguine dish topped with shredded beef short ribs, ragu sauce, basil, parsley and parmesan, and Señor Pork (S$42), containing grilled Spanish iberico pork shoulder, rhubarb chutney, roasted pumpkin puree, burnt butter cream and grilled baby cabbage.

Seafood lovers can opt for (Snow) (S$45), which comes with 140g of roasted cod fish, honey miso glaze, daikon ribbon, shaved egg yolk and gochujang egg fried rice, or Wafu Penne (S$32), a penne dish topped with sauteed kelong fresh prawns, garlic, white wine and sea urchin miso cream.

End your meal on a sweet note with Edition’s desserts. Malibu Heaven (S$12) combines grilled Malibu pineapple with coconut crumble, vanilla ice cream and almond tuille, while Passion for Mango (S$12) is made with mangoes, olive oil sauce, creme Anglaise, raspberries and mango tuille.
