Responsible living is gaining traction every day as more people realise that their daily choices have repercussions on the world. One of the most impactful choices you can make is to eat responsibly. Eat, Plant, Love (EPL) makes choosing wisely both easy and tasty with its 100% plant-based products.
EPL is a brand by Ha Li Fa that recognises the steadily growing demand for vegetarian dining options in Singapore. An entire alternative food industry has risen around this demand. While this means that there is no shortage of plant-based meat choices in Singapore, there has not been enough focus on the Asian palate. EPL is changing that.
Their products are halal-certified, free of cholesterol, trans-fat free, and rich in dietary fibre. The range currently consists of 7 alternative seafood and meat products. 4 of these products are available for direct purchase (B2C) while 4 are marketed only to F&B businesses (B2B).
- Plant-based Ball (B2C)
- Plant-based Mushroom Ball (B2C)
- Plant-based Vegetable Roll (B2C)
- Plant-based Calamari (B2C)
- Plant-based Stuffed Tau Pok (B2B)
- Plant-based Fishcake (B2B)
- Plant-based Minced Meat (B2B)
EPL’s products are available exclusively at selected FairPrice Finest & Xtra outlets at S$5.80 a pack. As of 16 Dec 2022, there is an ongoing promotion of S$9.90 for 2 packs, subject to availability.
There is currently an exciting collaboration between Eat, Plant, Love and LiXin Teochew Noodles to create a unique plant-based Mee Pok. Most Singaporeans will recognise the Lixin name as the recipient of Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand.
Priced at S$6.90, this dish is available as original or chilli flavour. It will feature EPL’s plant-based fishcake, minced meat, vegetable rolls and fried stuffed tau pok. In-house fragrant shallot oil replaces lard oil in the cooking process.
You can get a taste of this plant-based mee pok at the new LiXin Teochew Noodles outlet at Chinatown Point (#B1-47) from 15 Dec 2022.
