Eat Till We Toh. That’s the name of the limited-time buffet at the new Punggol Containers branch of Sum Dim Sum. For a limited time, diners will be able to take full advantage of the free flow dim sum buffet until stocks run out. Priced at just S$22.80++, it is available 7 days a week, from 4.30pm to 9pm.

The catch is that there is no fixed menu. You will just have to let the buffet gods decide what will be available on the day and time you visit. In response to a query on Instagram, Sum Dim Sum revealed that we can expect “siew mai, charshao bao, liushabao, Hargow… and some stir fried (dishes)”.

Someone else asked if there is “xlb” (xiaolongbao) and the reply was it, too, is subject to availability.

Another thing to note is that while there is no requirement for a minimum number of diners, kids aged 5 and above also pay the full price of S$22.80++.

If you prefer not to leave your dinner to chance, Sum Dim Sum’s à la carte menu is worth your while, too. Among the prettiest of the lot is the Tiffany Blue XL Prawn Dumpling (Har Gao) (S$6), which gets its beautiful hue from blue pea flowers. Another gorgeous and tasty option is their lovely green Pandan Crispy Pork Bun (S$6)

It’s quite likely that Sum Dim Sum’s Punggol Containers outlet will be crowded with diners as the news gets out. Our advice is to hit the joint early, right at the 4.30pm start time.

You can make reservations by contacting them on Instagram to make sure you get a seat.
