There’s nothing quite like feasting on seafood by the water. Perhaps it is the gentle breeze from the ocean, or the illusion that you’re getting, quite literally, the catch of the day. Such is the draw of Fremantle Seafood Market

Housed in Clarke Quay, the 10-year-old establishment wishes to give diners a feel of eating by the pier in Australia. Priding itself on using the freshest of seafood, it even features a live seafood gallery where chefs directly retrieve lobsters and crabs to the kitchen.

This December, the restaurant has decided to hop in on the vibrant lobster roll scene alongside Luke’s Lobster and Chunky Lobsters. Running from 28 November till 30 December 2020, Fremantle Seafood Market’s take on the ubiquitous roll presents a myriad of different toppings in between garlic buttered brioche buns.

Filled with tobiko, tempura bits and shredded lemongrass, the Tom Yum Lobster Roll (S$22) draws from the bright and refreshing notes of tom yum goong, while cleverly incorporating a touch of Japanese cuisine.

Fans of truffle can be excited by the time-proven combination of truffle oil and parmesan cheese in the Truffle Lobster Roll (S$22). Spice lovers also have something in store for them with the fiery Cayenne Lobster Roll (S$22). Or if you’re looking to sample all three iterations, then the Lobster Roll platter (S$28) is perfect for you.

So, what’s the catch? This exclusive promotion is by reservation only. If you want to get your hands on those buns, be sure to make your online booking via their website

Rolls aside, Fremantle Seafood Market’s Seafood in a Bag (S$38) is a messy behemoth filled with fresh prawns, mussels from Ah Hua Kelong and much more. Be prepared to get down and dirty as you feast on seafood doused in their house-made sauces.
