The ambience is casual and designed to look somewhat like a Hong Kong cha chaan teng, complete with bold red tiles, pictures of iconic HK celebrities from the 1980s, foldable tables, and metal stools.

Prices start at RM4.90 for traditional hot tong sui options like Red Beans, Fuchuk Barley, and Mung Beans. Fans of nut-based desserts, usually in the form of a thick paste, can go for the Peanut Soup (RM6.90), Sesame Soup (RM6.90), or Almond Soup (RM8.90).

If the weather is unbearably hot, cool off with a line-up of cold tong sui choices such as Gui Ling Gao (RM9.90), Passion Fruits Aiyu Jelly (RM6.90), and Longan Tofufah (RM5.90). There are also beancurd-, grass jelly-, milky ice-, and snow ice-based desserts available — perfect for any age group or palate.

Feeling a little peckish and desserts just won’t cut it? Nothing to worry about. You can order light, savoury snacks like Curry Fish Balls (RM6.90), Fried Chicken Pop (RM12.90), and Sweet Sauce Cheongfun (RM4.90) — haven’t they just thought of everything?
