Hokkien Street Bak Kut Teh is known for its old school-style bak kut teh dishes and pork trotters. The stall’s affordable and delicious food earned recognition from MICHELIN, and is featured on the official MICHELIN website.

Hokkien Street Bak Kut Teh’s well-known titular Bak Kut Teh is available with either long or short ribs, with the options of S$4, S$5, S$6 or S$8 portions. A S$4 portion would get you a bowl of soup with 3 pieces of meaty pork ribs. What makes this stall’s bak kut teh stand out is its deep, amber colour, which is loaded full of robust herbal flavour.

The other recommended dish is the Pig’s Trotter, priced at S$4, S$6 or S$8. The trotters are braised in a dark sauce, with a gelatinous skin. Other dishes sold at this stall are the Pig’s Tail Soup (S$5), Pig’s Liver & Kidney (S$4/S$6), Pig’s Large Intestine (S$5), Meatball Soup (S$3/S$5) and even Steamed Fish dishes.

Hopefully, Mr Toh’s bak kut teh legacy will continue to live on after his death.
