Just when I thought I’d go cold turkey off food delivery services for awhile (my bank account is bleeding), honestbee comes back with even more reasons to keep on living the good life. The concierge and delivery services company is celebrating its 2nd birthday this July 2017 and in true party form, is extending the festivities to all customers!
From now till 30 July 2017, order food through honestbee and enjoy 1-for-1 deals across more than 30 restaurants in Singapore (availability depends on your delivery location). For first time users, you can even use our promo code “SETHLUI7” on top of the 1-for-1 deals to get $18 off with a minimum purchase of $25!
That’s almost too much excitement for me to handle (almost) but I’ve managed to narrow it down to 10 dishes that you can order so that you, your family, friends and colleagues can all make the most of this promotion.
I thought I’d start off with something small, you know, just in case you wanted to order some nibbles for a movie night in. Alter Ego‘s Fried Chicken Skin ($9) is the perfect snack, comprising crisp chicken skin that’s been lovingly coated and fried in a southern spice mix.
I’d swap popcorn for this any day, and with the promotion, you can get two portions for the price of one.
If you’re stuck in the office and dreading having to go out for lunch in the Singapore heat, let honestbee bring the deliciousness to you. The Crispy Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich ($17) from Brez’n is sure to make your colleagues jealous, but it’s 1-for-1 so… you get one all to yourself and can just let them fight over the other.
Served with thick cut fries and cranberry sauce on the side, this sandwich is bursting with interesting flavours.
If you’re after something slightly healthier, go for the Grilled Chicken Flatbread ($16) from Loloku/Don Ho. $16 will get you and a buddy two of this lunch favourite that’s packed with avocado, pickled red onions, rocket salad and Sriracha mayonnaise.
Or you could always just have one for lunch and save the other for dinner. #forwardthinking
There are days when I love a good sandwich, but then there are days when only a hearty load of carbs will do. And by carbs, I mean PASTA. The Penne Arrabiata ($19.26) from Pizzeria L’operetta is a symphony of tomato sauce, red chillies, olive oil and parmesan cheese, ideal to satisfy any pasta craving.
The 1-for-1 deal at this particular restaurant works slightly differently – it’s a standard $24 for any two pastas, so go crazy.
I can’t even get through typing this without considering ordering this dish right now for supper. District 10‘s Spaghetti Carbonara with Black Truffle ($25.68) is sure to make any long day better, and if you’ve got a bottle of wine hiding at home, now’s the time to crack it open.
The promotion makes this particular pasta extremely worth it, so invite that special someone over and enjoy this with a glass or two.
Ahhhh… Spaghetti Meatballs ($23.54), my first love. Merchants Wine Cellar & Bistro elevates this simple dish with quality ingredients, and honestbee let’s you enjoy it from the comfort of your own home.
Get a group of friends together for a pasta party and make sure everyone has the app so there’s enough of this hearty goodness to go around.
Okay, hold up. There’s wagyu in this promotion too?? If someone’s birthday is coming soon, tell them you’ll treat them to the Australian Grass Fed Sirloin ($42) from Fumee.
250g of Australian Wagyu Rump Steak is served with a side of Mesclun Salad and Cajun Fries. I don’t think 1-for-1 deals get any better than this.
Sometimes, all I want is a satisfying bowl of dessert. The 1-for-1 deal even extends to dishes like this Yuan Yang Beancurd ($5.20) from Fluffy Dessert, which is a glorious mix of beancurd, grass jelly, lotus seeds, red bean and tapioca pearls.
Treat yourself and a sibling to something more local and revel in the fact that you don’t even need to leave your house to get it.
Smoothie bowls are all the rage right now and the Regular Pitaya Sunrise ($10) from Seed and Soil looks almost too pretty to eat. If you, like me, have been avoiding the “eat clean” life for too long, this honestbee promotion seems like a pretty good reason to start.
Buddy up and try one of these nutrient-filled and delicious combinations – the red dragonfruit in this one has loads of Vitamin C which is why they call it a “beauty food”. You don’t have to tell me twice.
A 1-for-1 deal on a SET? Yassss. All The Batter serves up this delicious combo called the Avocado & Chocolate Set ($10.90) which features an icy cold pint of avocado and chocolate, as well as an avocado milk ball.
If you’re as intrigued as I am as to what an avocado milk ball is, order the set on honestbee for a bit of an afternoon snack with a colleague! Avocadon’t wait till the promotion is over.
These are just a few dishes of many that are part of the birthday promotion and if you’ve yet to jump on the honestbee bandwagon, here’s your chance to save even more on this food delivery service. The code “SETHLUI7” from the previous honestbee promotion ($18 off with min. spend of $25) is still valid to all first-time users of honestbee AND can be used in conjunction with these 1-for-1 deals!
That’s right, TWO promotions if you’re a newbie. If you’re already an honestbee regular, don’t worry, the 1-for-1 deals are still there for you. I for one, will take what I can get.
To enjoy the 1-for-1 deal, simply select “Birthday Specials” under Top Categories in the app to see which of these restaurants deliver to you. The cherry on top of the (birthday) cake, folks? honestbee is still offering free delivery with no minimum spending.
Happy birthday honestbee, you’re too kind.
Dates: Promotion ends 30 July 2017
