Malaysia has yet to receive a 3 MICHELIN Key hotel, while its 9 recognised properties place it alongside the Philippines as one of Southeast Asia’s countries with 9 Key hotels.

1. Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast — 1 Key
Set across 128 acres of rainforest along Desaru’s coastline, Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast offers a secluded resort escape designed by the late architect Kerry Hill. Its 1.5km beachfront, spa, beach club and cultural experiences make it a full-fledged tropical retreat.
