Now that we’ve unfortunately have had to take a step back into Phase 2, I don’t blame anyone for seeking out comfort food while they’re trying to find the balance between work and home life in this brutal pandemic. And as much as the F&B industry has taken a huge hit, once again, with dine-in now disallowed, we still have those among them who persevere and want to provide only the best for their customers. One such brand is Indobowl.
While they’re already taking a cut, they’re still generous enough to extend a 20% discount across their food menu, meaning there’s little reason for you to continue supporting them. Just looking back at our review of their IndoMie Mumbo Jumbo (S$49.90) is making my tummy grumble. This gigantic platter is more than enough for three to four people and consists of approximately four to five packets of Indomie. Alongside the noodles are a variety of meats like ribeye, lamb chop, lamb bakar (barbecued lamb), and beef satay.
Our personal pick would be Indomie Ayam Bakar (S$9.90) because nothing gets us more excited than the comforting flavours of Indomie and sambal ijo. The Indomie noodles are bouncy and accompanied by a fried egg, chicken, and cucumber slices. The chicken is charred to perfection; the skin is crispy yet the meat still juicy and tender inside. The sambal really packs a punch and is fiery enough to leave a pleasurable tingle on the tongue.
