If you’re a fan of ramen, you’ve probably heard of IPPUDO. On 12 December 2019, IPPUDO celebrates its 10th anniversary with a specially created tonkotsu ramen available at IPPUDO’s first outlet—Mandarin Gallery—and a few other outlets.
IPPUDO is a well-loved ramen brand founded in Japan in 1985. This premium restaurant serves up authentic artisan Hakata tonkotsu ramen. Serving more than 80,000 customers globally each day and with over 200 restaurants worldwide, IPPUDO is probably one of the most prominent ramen chains.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, IPPUDO is offering this specially-created ramen that’s unlike any other served regularly.
The broth is prepared using only pig skulls, boiled and simmered for over 15 hours. Though the soup is lighter compared to the common milky broth, it remains flavourful with a strong umami finish.
Additionally, the noodles served with the broth are made from Japanese wheat flour. The flour produces springy and chewy strands that are absolutely delectable.
Wondering how to get your hands on this special dish? Well, this exclusive anniversary tonkotsu will be available at IPPUDO’s Mandarin Gallery outlet for both days on 12 and 13 December 2019 and the dish is priced at just S$10++. For other outlets, it will only be available on 12 December 2019, but do take note that there will be a limited number of only 390 bowls served per outlet.
For customers who prefer the classic Shiromaru and Akamaru Ramen, IPPUDO is also giving out vouchers to purchase the two dishes at S$10++.
Come celebrate IPPUDO’s 10th anniversary and get your hands on this special tonkotsu ramen!
