We all love food that comes in giant size. After all, they make the perfect communal meals for sharing even if we are limited to a group of five persons. And to accompany our XXL dishes, there come drinks in towers—sharing size beverages that feed just as many.

Riding on the bubble tea craze, JLD Dragon Singapore has launched a Singapore exclusive 1.5-litre bubble tea tower specially curated for all the bubble tea aficionados out there!

Since the opening of their first outlet in Punggol Waterway Point early this year, the Taiwanese bubble tea chain has grown to include two full-fledged outlets and two pop-up stores. Conceived during the ‘Circuit Breaker’ period, JLD Flash is the brand’s new temporary concept store located in our friendly neighbourhoods within the coffeeshops that we are familiar with.

In celebration of the latest JLD Flash opening at Bukit Batok, JLD Dragon has launched a 1.5-litre Singapore exclusive bubble tea tower—the Dragon Tower (S$10.80 to S$16.80 per tower). Donned with a golden dragon sculpture sitting on a sleek black cylinder, the Dragon Tower houses approximately five regular cups worth of bubble tea, comfortably shareable amongst friends and family.

Currently available only at Bukit Batok, bubble tea enthusiasts can enjoy a good tea-spilling session over a tower of bubble tea that comes in six uniquely different flavours. Be it a refreshing cup or a thirst-quenching after-meal beverage, the choice is all yours!

What’s bubble tea without the boba? To complete your own DIY experience, you can choose to add on a bowl of freshly cooked Boba (S$3.60) or Cream Cheese (S$4.50). What’s more, in celebration of this launch, JLD Dragon will be providing free flow of their signature Okinawa brown sugar syrup with every order for a limited time only.

Amongst the six flavours, our favourites are hands down the two new additions—the Emerald Green Fresh Milk Tea (S$13.80) and the Golden Citrus Green Tea (S$16.80).

Unlike the regular milk tea, JLD Dragon’s Fresh Milk Tea series is a range of tea bases complemented with 100% fresh milk instead of artificial creamer. Their Emerald Green Fresh Milk Tea features an aromatic green tea with a lingering savoury aftertaste. Coupled with a generous drizzle of brown sugar syrup and a serving of boba, this was an irresistible cup perfect as an after-meal treat.

If you are looking to beat Singapore’s sweltering summer heat, then the Golden Citrus Green Tea will be right up your alley. Packed with a balanced combination of sweetness and acidity, this beverage consists of fresh lemon, orange, and lime slices—a load of Vitamin C that all of us can use more of especially during this period.

Dragon Tower aside, fans can also look forward to brand new drinks such as the Brown Sugar Fresh Milk with Cheese Brulee ($5.40) and Tie Guan Yin Cheese Tea ($4.30). Having tried the Tie Guan Yin Cheese Tea, I can confidently say that the cream cheese topping definitely added an unexpected yet delightful touch which enhanced the flavours of the original brew.

JLD Dragon’s 1.5-litre Dragon Tower is in fact only a teaser for the much larger 3-litre tower that is coming our way when larger group gatherings are allowed. Besides that, the brand also has plans to launch an array of savoury and sweet treats to accompany their bubble teas. So, embrace yourself for more surprises to come and get your updates from their Facebook page here!

If you feel that the 1.5-litre Dragon Tower is too much for you, regular cups are also available for sale at all their outlets.

Dates & Times: Dragon Tower is available only at JLD Flash located in 155 Bukit Batok Street 11 | 11am – 9pm (Daily)
