Kopitiam is a word all Singaporeans recognise. With over 100 of them in Singapore, it would be taxing to keep track of those that have just opened, closed, or renovated. To save you the trouble, I am here to inform you that Kopitiam Corner at Block 878C Tampines Avenue 8 has recently reopened with a brighter look .

Previously sporting milder and more muted decor, the kopitiam has been given a more vibrant and eye-catching exterior.

Can we discuss how the interior looks that much more lively now? The stalls now have their own designated colour lights above them, and the shifting hues give the kopitiam a playful rhythm, making it more visually immersive and appealing to dine in, presenting it as the more favourable option over opting to dabao your food.
The addition of these neon lights, rather than feeling harsh, gives the kopitiam a sense of energy and openness that contributes to a more cheerful dining atmosphere.

All the stalls have remained the same, with the exception of 1 addition. The new kid on the block is Zai Jian Mian.
As mian suggests, they do sell noodles, but apart from that, also include Singapore favourites like Fried Yuan Yang Carrot Cake (S$6.50 for Small, $8.50 for Large), and Fried Oyster Omelette (S$8 for Small, S$10 for Medium, S$12 for Large), which are good options as sharing plates should you opt for the large sizes.
Should you simply want to opt for their noodles, their Sliced Meat Prawn Noodle (S$5) is a good option to consider as well.

If you prefer the classics, they also sell local delights like Fish Soup and Hainanese Chicken Rice, all at affordable prices.
East siders are truly spoilt for choice with this kopitiam, and with the other new stalls and eateries that have been opening up just this month alone.
