Like us, if you are a fan of this 56-year-old wanton mee stall, we have good news for you! With a push from their second-generation owner, Bernard Koung, Koung’s Wanton Mee is venturing beyond their hawker stall into a fully air-conditioned outlet in JEM

Apart from a slight increase in price, worry not about the quality of their dishes as Bernard continues to use his family’s hand down recipes for every bowl of noodles produced.

Their famous wanton mee aside, get to also savour on their Dumpling Soup (S$4/S$5). In a bowl of clear and fragrant chicken broth floats six impressively huge dumplings that are generously filled with tender minced meat and prawn mixture.

Don’t forget to get your daily recommended amount of greens in with Koung’s Wanton Mee’s Cai Xin (S$4). This plate features a bed of freshly blanched vegetables topped with oyster sauce, a dash of sesame oil, and a serving of deep-fried pork lard. Now, who says vegetables are boring and lack of taste?

Koung’s Wanton Mee at JEM is now open, serving bowls of authentic slurp-ables. Their hawker stall, currently located at Sim Ave, is also still in business so, feel free to hop to either stall to satisfy your wanton mee cravings!
