This epic experience is presented by Science Centre Singapore, in collaboration with the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, and brings 2 colossal experiences into a 3,000-square-metre space. In total, visitors will get to see over 90 artefacts, including 33 rare fossils and 60 full-scale displays. This makes ‘Dinosaurs | Extinctions | Us’ the biggest dinosaur showcase at Science Centre Singapore, ever.

The first exhibition is named Dinosaurs of Patagonia while the second is Six Extinctions. One of the main highlights of these exhibitions is being able to behold the 40-metre full-scale cast of the Patagotitan mayorum, one of the largest dinosaur species ever discovered. It will be a challenge to fit this guy into a selfie!

Another theme of these exhibitions is extinction. And as you walk through its halls, you will learn not just about the extinctions that have happened during the Jurassic ages, but also the biodiversity challenges Singapore has faced in recent times.

You will get a glimpse of species that once inhabited our country, but are now locally extinct. Curated by the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, these displays aim to reflect on our role in preventing wildlife extinction and the measures we can take to protect today’s species.

Interactive activities

Beyond just admiring the exhibits, visitors can also join in on hands-on activities placed throughout the exhibition. These include the Test Your Strength challenge, where you can measure your physical strength against that of a dinosaur.

There is also an Imagine Dinosaurs (nope, not Imagine Dragons) interactive activity that allows you to create your own versions of dinosaurs by adding colours, muscles and textures to dino skeletons. Lastly, the Digital Fossil Dig will get you excavating and fossil hunting on a screen in a timed challenge.

If ‘Jurassic Park’ was your favourite movie growing up, you will love ‘Dinosaurs | Extinctions | Us’. Tickets are already available at S$29.90 for adults who are Singaporeans and Permanent Residents. For children and seniors, tickets are priced at S$25.90. All these tickets for locals also include complimentary entry to Science Centre Singapore.
