Who remembers the last time the Minions took over McDonald’s Singapore? With the Banana Pie, Banana Cone and Minion Potatoes, we were positively going bananas over them.

I, for one, have really missed the excitement of a new McDonald’s item, which is why I’m most excited about their range of new September 2020 products.

With the upcoming movie, ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’, set to be released in mid-2021, McDonald’s is certainly drumming up anticipation for the coming instalment.

The new range of products run along a yellow food theme, including aptly chosen yuzu and melon flavours. I don’t think I’ve ever seen yuzu in a McDonald’s product before, and I’m curious to see how that turns out.

The yuzu will feature in the new Yuzu Cream Cheese Pie (from S$1.50), an exciting new flavour for their well-known dessert pies. Touted to be a delightful pairing of citrus and cream, the Yuzu Cream Cheese Pie comes just in time for the cheese dessert craze that’s been around lately.

If that’s not enough yuzu for you, check out the Yuzu McFizz for more spritely tanginess. Another one to look out for is the Melon Waffle Cone (from S$2), especially if you’re looking for a sweet cooling treat.

On the savoury menu, we have the Smoky Nacho Cheese Sauce Bottle (S$5.50 per bottle) and the all-time favourite Minion Potatoes (from S$2).

Sounds childish of me to be so excited about the Minion Potatoes, but I just find them so amusing and mention delicious. They’re always so consistently soft and crispy with the right amount of grease and salt.

If you’re a big Minions fan, you might also want to amass the 35 new Minions Toy Collectibles that will be releasing weekly from 4 September to 7 October 2020. Time to get despicable while stocks last! Stay tuned for more updates at McDonald’s Singapore’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

Date & Time: Launching 3 September 2020 at all McDonald’s outlets and on McDelivery, while stocks last

Price: S$1.50 – S$5.50
