Finally landing in our sunny shores, Miznon‘s 11th global outlet in Singapore just opened its doors to customers last week. It was first opened in Tel Aviv by Chef Eyal Shani, who was a MasterChef Israel judge and restaurateur. Today, their 42-seater space along Stanley Street is brimming with sights and smells.

Here, they don’t shy away from bold flavours and hearty portions. Carb-lovers will revel in the selection of 12 varieties of pita stuffed with vegetables and meats. Expect elements of tahini, sesame, and roasted cauliflower in the fare as well, comfort food at its best no?

Specialising in “proper” Israeli fare, Miznon is one of the first of its kind in Singapore, which is a great place to start, considering how both Singapore and Israeli are a “melting pot of cultures,” according to owner Nadav Cohen.

Look forward to interesting wares such as the Run-over Potato (S$11), which is a tray of potato, olive oil, and sour cream that already sounds just as delicious as you’d expect. The Ratatouille Plate (S$17) is also an exciting one, made with tahini, chilli, and hard-boiled egg.

Other must-try dishes include the Bag of Green Beans (S$12)—french beans and crisp sugar snap peas, the Chicken Liver Pita (S$18)—tahini, spring onion, chicken liver, salsa, and chilli, as well as the Abu Kebab Pita (S$24)—beef and lamb tahini with parsley, salsa, pickles, chilli, and onion.
