In the new normal of COVID-19, changes are the only constant. One of which being dining-in restrictions, which have been understandably more confusing as of late. But we’ve learnt the hard way that it’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to transmissions, so MOH’s new regulations are not uncalled for.
From 19 July to 8 August 2021, dining in will go back to the default of 2-pax for hawker centres, food courts, and coffee shops because keeping track of the vaccination status of individuals in these establishments are harder, and sometimes, do not impose mandatory Safe Entry check-in. Below are some of them:
- Burger King
- Carl’s Jr
- Itacho Sushi
- Jollibee
- KFC
- Long John’s Silver
- McDonald’s
- Nando’s
- Shake Shack
- Subway
- Sushi Express
- Tenderfresh
- The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
- The Sushi Bar
- Toast Box
These F&B establishments have chosen the safest protocol option as they deem fit for the safety and good of customers and employees. While it may be a pity that 5-pax dine-in has yet to resume for a full week before they’re unfortunately shortened, these measures for 2-pax dine-in are only temporary. So, let’s hang in there tight. Also, delivery, drive-thru, and takeaway options are still ongoing, and we’ve been through this before.
