First dibs: Pizza Hut’s latest CNY Fortune Box is sure to bring in plenty of huat

Do you dread cooking for guests during Chinese New Year? Fret not, as Pizza Hut‘s latest exclusive seasonal set, the CNY Fortune Box, will surely be a crowd-pleaser to usher in the Year of the Rabbit whilst being fuss-free!

Pizza Hut - CNY Fortune Box

Available from 4 Jan to 28 Feb 2023, Pizza Hut’s CNY Fortune Box (S$39.50) features a large Sweet & Sour Chicken Pizza, Chilli Lime Cream Penne, Chicken Tenders and Garlic Bread. Pizza Hut graciously provided us with a set to try them out!

Pizza Hut - Sweet & Sour Chicken Pizza

Their Sweet & Sour Chicken Pizza is topped with marinated chicken pops, juicy lychees and golden pineapples crisps on a sweet and sour sauce base with cheese. You can even choose your crust of choice — Pan Crust, San Francisco Style, Sourdough Crust or Cheesy Stuffed Crust.

Their pulpy lychees provided a refreshing blast of floral sweetness that complemented the sourness of the sauce. I also appreciate how well-seasoned the pieces of chicken were. We need more dishes with those satisfying crunchy pineapple crisps!

Pizza Hut - Chilli Lime Cream Penne

I was impressed with the Chilli Lime Cream Penne. Despite having it as a takeaway, there was still a visible cheese pull. Taste-wise, it had a really strong citrusy flavour with a spiciness that slowly but surely built up. The CNY Fortune Box is ideal for 4 to 5 pax.

Pizza Hut - Huat Snack

We also had a sample of their Huat Snack Box (S$14.60) which had Chilli Garlicky Wings, Sweet ‘N’ Spicy DrumletsMine Waffle Hashbrown and Garlic Mozzarella Pops.

The Chilli Garlicky Wings had a nice kick to them whilst their OG Sweet ‘N’ Spicy Drumlets remind you why it’s Pizza Hut’s undisputed best side dish. The box is the perfect pairing for a game of mahjong or Blackjack.

Pizza Hut - Pineapple Tarts

As an added bonus, we were also sent their new 2pc Pineapple Tarts (S$3.60). This is the perfect way to end a hearty feast— with the perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess. I doubt you can even look at traditional pineapple tarts the same way again!
