Pocha! has been recently established as a newly opened Korean food street dining concept. Decorated with bright lights and iconic tents that we see commonly in K-dramas (which are inspired by the pojangmacha scene in Korea), this place has made a name for itself with its comforting ambience and authentic Korean street food. As such, regulars have been coming back time and time again for good food, good energy and good company. Guess I’ll relay the good news that Pocha! will be having a 1-for-1 promotion on everything on 14 & 15 Dec 2022.

This promotion is only available at the Northpoint City outlet and requires no minimum spend, so I’m sure Yishunites are currently jumping for joy.

Just like how ahjummas would serve us warm Korean delicacies that remind us of the ones served in Korea, Pocha! serves up hot piping bowls of traditional broths and iconic street foods. Don’t get hopeful that you’ll have the same service by ahjummas here. But to appease your disappointment, you’ll get a wide spread of a variety of foods and a great place with immaculate vibes.

The place is decked with bright dangling lights hanging above the heads of patrons, making Pocha! a very popular hideout for friends to enjoy Korean delicacies. Usually packed on the weekends, the crowd is warranted because of their wide array of dishes from Jjajangmyeon (S$12.90) to Kkochi (from S$5.90 per stick).

Pocha - beef bulgolgi

When I heard of the promotion, I remembered how much I loved their Beef Bulgogi (S$12.90). I am a fan of beef, so you would expect me to order the beef options at any restaurant. Marinated perfectly with the right ounce of sweetness and fragrance from the onions, it pairs nicely with kimchi for a twist of flavour. The kimchi gives tang of sourness that is due to the fermentation process that Koreans commonly practise in some of their dishes.

The Sundubu is one of their must-try dishes. For S$14.90, it is even more worth it when there’s the 1-for-1 promotion. The bowl is packed with rich ingredients from clams to soft tofu to minced pork. Do note that it is a little bit spicy for those who are unable to take spice!

With the promotion, you’ll be able to enjoy 2 Corndogs (S$6.90) for the price of 1 when you’re here— a definite plus for the kids, I must say.

Come down with your family or friends to bond over a meal of heartwarming Korean dishes. And save on the cost as well! More information will be available on their socials, so be sure to keep an eye out for more information.
