If you love eating old-school traditional local dishes, drinking at bars and have an interest in vinyls and turntables, the newly opened Shun Cheng Traditional Coffee & Bar will be sure to interest you.

Opened on 18 June 2022 along Temple Street in Chinatown, Shun Cheng Traditional Coffee & Bar serves up local favourite breakfast dishes in the day and turns into a bar at night, with alcoholic beverages and finger food.

From 9am to 5pm, enjoy their traditional classic dishes like Hard Boiled Egg (S$2.20 for 2 pieces), Prawn Noodle Soup (S$7.80) and Braised Pork with Rice (S$6.80). They also offer Western dishes like Sabroso Chicken Chop (S$12.80) and Rustico Pork Chop (S$12.80).

There is an assortment of traditional toasts, including the popular flavours of Butter (S$2), Butter Sugar (S$2), Peanut Butter (S$2) and Kaya Butter (S$2.50). Their more unique toast offerings are Almond Butter (S$3) and Monkey Butter (S$3), which is a kind of spread made using bananas, pineapples and coconut.

From 5pm to 11pm, look forward to an alcoholic bar experience at Shun Cheng Traditional Coffee & Bar. Their variety of beers include Heineken (S$10 per bottle), Carlsberg (S$10 per bottle) and Guinness Stout Draught (S$12 per pint).

They also have alcohols like Martel Cordon Bleu Brandy (S$388 per bottle), Johnny Walker Gold Reserved Whiskey (S$198 per bottle), Roku Gin (S$138 per bottle) and House Red Wine (S$48 per bottle).

Treat yourself to their bar snacks, which include Cart Noodles (S$4.80), Spam Fries (S$10), Spicy Popcorn Chicken (S$12) and Pizza (S$18).
