If you like heights and perhaps even if you don’t like them, you need to head to Skyslides by Klook at the newly revamped Skypark Sentosa. We got an insane series of adrenaline injections at the media preview last night and I predict Skyslides will be one of the hottest places to be these school holidays. Skyslides by Klook will be open to the public from 7 Jun 2026.
If you have been to Skypark Sentosa, you probably already recognise the 47-metre-tall white Bungy Jump tower. Skyslides by Klook is 2 separate slides — the blue Skydrop and bright orange The Big Klook Slide — that have been constructed like 2 writhing snakes enveloping the structure. Or perhaps a benign and comforting DNA double helix. Either way, the Skyslides are a visually vibrant addition to the excitement factory.
The aptly named Skydrop starts with an almost vertical drop, giving you that wonderful heart-in-mouth sensation. The ride went on longer than I had assumed, curving and doubling back over itself. I picked up so much speed along the way that I was hurtling around curves almost on the roof of the twisting tunnel! Insanely fun.
They have done a great job with the lighting — it pulses around you, then races ahead and, at one point, the whole tunnel plunges into pitch darkness as you zip through. I’ve been on taller and longer rides but Skydrop was surprisingly more enjoyable.
The Big Klook Slide, while also starting 44 metres up, is the relatively gentle sibling. If Skydrop sounds scary, you should try this first and work your way up. It also has the advantage of a transparent top so you can enjoy the view of the Sentosa sea and sky all the way down. Each ride lasts about 30 seconds and helmet-mounted cameras capture your descent.
Note that you have to be at least 140cm tall to ride Skydrop and 120cm to enjoy The Big Klook Slide. Skydrop also has a weight restriction of 130kg.
Skyslides by Klook builds on Skypark Sentosa’s existing line-up of towering attractions that includes Singapore’s only Bungy Jump (you can choose to be dunked in the pool or stay dry), Giant Swing (not as mellow as I thought) and the Skybridge (did not try, no witty comment).
There is a Two-ride package (S$28) and a Three-ride package (S$33) that allow you to mix and match rides on Skydrop and The Big Klook Slide. Video footage of your ride, worth S$20, is included free with the first 1,000 tickets sold.
