Famous sandwich shop Eggslut from L.A. is finally opening an outlet in Singapore! Brought in by the same people behind Shake Shack and Paris Baguette, we’ll have to wait a little longer until 2021 for Eggslut’s Singapore outlet.

So, what’s all the fuss about an egg sandwich shop?

Eggslut got its tongue-in-cheek name from a chef who simply loved to put eggs in any dish he prepared. (I’m not judging, I’m a huge fan of eggs anything too.)

Those in the know will think fondly of its egg sandwiches, made with fluffy brioche buns and a generous, overflowing portion of eggs—scrambled, or cooked sunny-side up.

Founded by Filipino-American chef Alvin Cailan and Jeff Vales, his cousin, the first branch of Eggslut opened to long queues in the Los Angeles Central Market. Now, they currently have 10 branches in the US, the UK, Japan, and South Korea—the new outlet in Singapore will be the eleventh.

If you’re feeling like munching on something other than sandwiches, get the Slut. Provocative as the name sounds, it’s actually a very comforting dish of coddled eggs served with tomato puree in a glass jar, along with baguette slices.

I, for one, can’t wait for 2021 to come. Eggs everything and anything? Sign me up already!

Dates & Times: Eggslut Singapore is scheduled to open in 2021 | Check out their website or Instagram for more information.

Prices: USD$6 – USD$10 (approx. S$8.32 – S$13.86, based on US prices)
