McDonald’s never seems to give it a rest with these new releases, do they? We’ve barely recovered from our sugar crash from trying their brown sugar milk tea ice cream after a hearty lunch of the Hainanese chicken burger, and now, it’s time to head back and give their limited edition, all-new McPepper burger a taste test.

The Extra Value Meal™ menu options by McDonald’s has always been my go-to, especially in school when students just want a meal that gives them the best bang for their buck. The newly-expanded menu includes the McPepper, featuring two (yes, two!) tender beef patties sandwiched between caramelised buns, laden with sweet, spicy, black pepper sauce, and topped diced onions.

The McPepper Extra Value Meal™ consists of one burger, an M-sized serving of the crispy, golden shoestring fries we all love, and a S-sized cup of coke to wash it all down. If you’re an avid supporter of McDonald’s CrissCut Fries, you can opt to upgrade for an additional S$0.30. Available from 2 September 2021 onwards, the McPepper will be joining the other favourites we Singaporeans grew up eating—the crispy McChicken and catch of the day, Filet-o-Fish.

Don’t worry if you’re an early riser—the well-loved Scrambled Egg Burger (S$4.10) is also making a reappearance. The breakfast burger consists of a scrumptious serving of fluffy scrambled eggs, savoury cheddar cheese, and mayonnaise sandwiched between steamed buns. Kick-start your morning right with two equally delicious options of the Scrambled Egg Burger, available with Chicken or Sausage patties.

The tantalising McPepper and Scrambled Egg Burger will launch across all McDonald’s restaurants islandwide, and is also available for purchase via McDelivery and on food delivery platforms such as GrabFood and foodpanda, while stocks last.
