Burp Kitchen & Bar opened their second outlet at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park in late May 2022. Their first outlet is at Bedok Reservoir, so they have ample experience with opening restaurants near greenery.

The interior is tastefully designed in black and white, with marbled tables and plants to spruce up the interior. The tall glass windows allow natural sunlight to stream through and give a good view of the park to all diners.

If you’re popping by for a hearty breakfast, try Burp Kitchen & Bar’s Omelette & Toast (S$14), which consists of two slices of toasted brioche bread, and an omelette containing eggs, cheddar, mozzarella, ham and mushrooms. It is served with a side of salad and baked beans.

The Truffle Mushroom & Eggs Toast (S$14) consists of a slice of ciabatta topped with scrambled eggs, mushroom, truffle oil and arugula. It is also served with a side of salad and baked beans. The truffle oil complements the mushroom, and is nicely contrasted with the hint of bitterness from the arugula and the savouriness of the scrambled eggs.

The above two toasts are available off the brunch menu, which is available daily until 4pm.

Their tacos are also well-loved by diners. Each order comes with two pieces of six-inch soft flour tortillas, corn chips and a nacho cheese dip.

Their Grilled Shrimp Tacos (S$16) consist of shrimp, lettuce, salsa fresca and lime mayonnaise wrapped in a nicely toasted soft tortilla. There is a nice char from the grilled shrimp, which pairs well with the fresh lettuce and salsa fresca.

The Baja Fish Taco (S$16) has battered fish, lettuce, salsa fresca and spicy mayonnaise. The spicy mayonnaise cuts through the slight grease from the fried fish, which is succulent.

Being located in Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, nearby residents will be able to enjoy a nice meal after a bout of exercise.
