The news was announced on both Chapter 55’s Facebook and Instagram, as the cafe thanked patrons for their support over the years. The reason for the closure wasn’t clear, with only mentions of how the circumstances were beyond their control as well as other business considerations.

Chapter 55 opened way back in 2014 as a sister cafe; it was run by the same people of the Ice Edge Cafe located at Kovan, which also closed down permanently on 6 Sep 2022 after 13 years of service. They were known for their premium handmade gelato and Italian bites.

You can even opt to enjoy your gelato with the Specialty Buttermilk Waffles that are freshly made daily with choices such as Salted Caramel Buttermilk Waffle (S$13.80/S$17.80) and Chapter 55 Buttermilk Waffle (S$14.80/S$18.80).

They also have a variety of cakes like the Pistachio Lava Cake (S$14.80), Tiramisu Classico (S$12.80) and New York Cheesecake (S$6.80).

With its wide range of both desserts and Italian cuisine, Chapter 55 will definitely be missed by many.
