Like me, I’m sure you’re able to identify some Singapore cafes which have stood the test of time and are still going strong. One of them is The Assembly Ground located at The Cathay, which has been around for a solid 8 years. Unfortunately, it’s time to say goodbye to their outlet at the iconic cinema building as their last day of operations will be on 19 Mar 2023.

What’s the reason behind their outlet at The Cathay closing? Well, as some of you may know, the whole building will be redeveloped in the second half of 2023 and will only be relaunched in late 2024.

Fortunately, The Assembly Ground has another branch at Cineleisure, Orchard.

As a way to appreciate their customers and thank them for their support, they’re offering a free iced cooler and an additional S$5 return dining voucher (per table order) from 12 to 19 Mar 2023. You’ll be able to utilise the voucher at their Cineleisure outlet.

Some of the worthy mentions on their menu includes The Assembly Burger (S$25) which features a 130g grilled Australian chilled Wagyu steak (yes, it’s not a pattie) with pickled daikon, tomatoes, sharp cheddar, arugula and dark yuzu sauce.

Another delicious option is the Laksa Pizza (S$24) that showcases one of our local favourite dishes served on a pizza crust. Just picture juicy prawns, squid, clams, quail eggs, fish cake and aromatic laksa leaves. Mmmm… my mouth is already watering!
