Quite frankly, there’s nothing more sophisticated than taking 2 or 3 hours out of the day to sip tea from a bone china cup whilst nibbling on crustless sandwiches. It’s delightful to be able to sit down for afternoon tea, catching up with girlfriends or spoiling loved ones on a special occasion. Ah, the tai tai life.
For me, afternoon tea must be served at the table with scones, clotted cream and jam— that’s the true English way of having tea. With that in mind, I went in search of the best afternoon high teas that Singapore has to offer. Here are my current favourite spots to indulge in this most glorious of afternoon rituals!
Just a note: do check regularly, as many places refresh their menus or run limited-time themes and seasonal offers throughout the year.

2. Atrium at Pan Pacific Singapore

The Atrium at Pan Pacific Singapore could possibly become one of my favourite spots to relax after a stressful working week. The Peranakan Afternoon Tea from 11 May to 11 Jun 2026 offers an interesting take on afternoon tea, which is playful yet still traditional at its core. Some of the unique items include the Fish Tank, which is a matcha financier with blue pea jelly and topped with a bright yuzu whipped ganache.
In addition to that, there are also various savory treats like Peranakan Rojak which was turned into a beetroot pie tee and Nyonya Kerabu with baby abalone which adds a new flavor to the dessert.
This event will offer a 3-tier set meal with a main course for S$58++ per pax (Mon to Fri). This is a nice mid-day treat without going too overboard. However, on Saturday and Sunday, it becomes a buffet-style event for S$68++ per pax.
Available through 2 sittings between 1pm to 3pm and 4pm to 6pm, the menu is sure to feature popular local cuisine. And, should the guests desire something more, a bottle of Taittinger Brut Reserve Champagne can be ordered for S$20++ per glass, which would make the experience all the more special.

3. Lobby Lounge at the Westin Singapore

At the towering heights of The Lobby Lounge, there is an afternoon tea experience which is both nostalgic yet refined with a modern twist. Based on the much-loved White Rabbit Candy, the Once Upon a Tea Time with White Rabbit experience takes its creamy, sweet treat and turns it into a lineup of elegant, refined treats.
Savoury items include the Baked Spiny Lobster with torch mentaiko mayo, which has a richer taste, and Ocean Jewel Funnel, which consists of salmon roe, sashimi, and other delicacies.
As for desserts, expect to be treated to a selection of items based on White Rabbit, including the White Rabbit Milk Pudding and freshly baked vanilla egg tart.
This experience with White Rabbit can be enjoyed between 12pm to 2pm and 2.30pm to 5pm (Monday to Friday), and between 1.30pm to 3.30pm and 4pm to 6pm (Saturday and Sunday). It costs S$78++ per pax, which includes a free cup of White Rabbit Milk Tea and free-flow of coffee and tea.

This event balances savoury and sweet items together with selected teas, which range from light to aromatic blends & even richer options. From S$68++ per pax, you can enjoy a calm afternoon tea with the option of being accompanied by friends or family members.

6. Lobby Lounge at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel

Right in the heart of Orchard Road, the Lobby Lounge at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel offers a refined take on afternoon tea. Sit back in this luxurious sunlit atrium with textured stone floors and an open, spacious layout for the delightfully named Summer Berries Afternoon Tea (S$48++ Mon to Thu, S$58++ Fri to Sun).
From 1 Apr to 30 Jun 2026, this seasonal showcase transforms vibrant berries into elegant sweet and savoury bites. It’s a thoughtfully curated spread that balances visual finesse with bright and refreshing flavours, perfect if you prefer your afternoon tea to feel light rather than overly rich.
Our favourites include the Strawberry Panna Cotta Verrine, a layered creation of pistachio dacquoise, passion fruit sabayon, vanilla panna cotta and strawberry consommé jelly — it is texture and tang in every spoonful. The Mini Pistachio Raspberry Gâteau in its glossy red chocolate shell gives way to pistachio sponge and raspberry confit, while the Smoked Trout Salsa Vol-au-Vent adds a savoury contrast with its crisp pastry shell and herb-laced filling.
Only on weekends, savour the Prawn and Mango Tartlet, which harmonises the umami of poached prawn with the sweetness of mango chutney and a hint of spice.
Beyond the core set, the experience is elevated with 2 types of free-flow canapés (rotated daily!), alongside unlimited TWG Tea and Lavazza coffee. Weekend diners also enjoy a flute of champagne or sparkling tea for a little sinful indulgence.
Enjoy all this for 20% off (Fri to Sun) with promo code LL20OFF (with 1-day advance reservation). Whether you’re planning a catch-up session, low-key celebration or simply want a polished afternoon tea in a central location, this one ticks all the right boxes.

7. The Landing Point at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore

Located near the waterside, The Landing Point at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore offers the Strawberry Bliss Afternoon Tea. The unique feature of this seasonally popular tea set is the full emphasis on the premium quality of Korean strawberries. It seems like the focus is on the fruit itself, using the strawberries in such a way that their freshness and aroma become more pronounced.
The savory offerings are quite a contrast, combining high-quality products from the earth and the sea, accompanied by the fruity freshness of strawberries. However, the true essence of the menu can be found in the desserts offered.
Firstly, there is the Pistachio Strawberry, which is a cube made up of layers of pistachio paste, followed by Strawberry Shortcake with the taste of vanilla beans in each bite. Secondly, there is the Strawberry Rhubarb Tart, giving the delicate flavour of strawberries with a tinge of tanginess.
The sets are served with the Strawberry Pu’er infusion, which combines house-made sticky rice Pu’er tea with strawberry puree. The pricing starts from S$68++ for an adult and S$34++ for children. There are 2 seating periods offered from 12 pm to 2.30 pm and from 3.30 pm to 6 pm.

8. 1864, Sofitel Singapore City Centre

Perched on the 5th floor of Sofitel Singapore City Centre, 1864 offers a Carnival-Themed Afternoon Tea that leans into a sense of playful curiosity from the very start. Running until 15 Jun 2026 from 2pm to 5pm, the set is priced at S$68++ per pax, with a minimum of 2 diners.
The menu is where things get interesting, blurring the lines between sweet and savoury in ways that feel inventive without being gimmicky. Highlights include the Truffle Corn Mousseline Cone topped with popcorn, which balances earthy richness with a light crunch, and the Salmon Macaron that delivers a savoury twist on a typically sweet treat.
There is also a Coconut Arancini with mochi and finger lime caviar, adding texture and a hint of brightness to the plate. The Chocolate Burger is perhaps the most playful of the lot, designed to look convincingly savoury while leaning fully into dessert territory.
Alongside the food, themed drinks like the Popcorn Dream Mocktail and the Berry Carnival Cocktail add another layer to the experience, both in flavour and presentation. With its imaginative plating and unexpected combinations, this is a refreshing change from the usual tiered afternoon tea.

10. 10|SCOTTS

10|SCOTTS brings about a calm and relaxing atmosphere through its warm living room-like setting located along Orchard Road. The afternoon tea, known as Grand Afternoon Tea, begins with a complimentary drink of Saicho Jasmine Sparkling Tea, which gives a mild floral flavour before moving on to your savouries that are served at the counter, along with your tiered sweet delights.
Among the many signature dishes, the Seafood Vol-au-Vent is served with plenty of butter, whereas among the classic dishes, Vanilla Mille-Feuille can be found as well. In addition, there are numerous desserts on offer for the guests, including the tropical Coconut Mousse and the decadent Valrhona Dark Chocolate Mousse, together with Rhubarb Tart and Panna Cotta.
Aside from the signature menu, there is much more to be considered, especially when it comes to tea lovers. For example, Black Darjeeling Royal Flush is refreshing in taste with hints of flowers and a long aftertaste, while Eight Treasures combines a number of flavours with herbs, flowers, and sweetness. Furthermore, Oolong Beauty of the East is aromatic and grassy, while Golden Moscato Oolong is fruity.
The experience costs S$65++ for adults and S$30++ for children, and can be enjoyed from 2 pm to 4.30 pm (Monday to Friday) and from 11.30 am to 2 pm and 2.30 pm to 5 pm (Saturday & Sunday).

11. Brunches Cafe

In the charming streets of Farrer Park, Brunches Cafe offers a nostalgic high tea experience in an environment that seems like a carefully crafted time capsule rather than an ordinary cafe. The establishment gained popularity since its launch in 2015 because of its retro vibe with vintage furniture and quirky knick-knacks decorating the entire place.
The afternoon tea, which can be enjoyed on any day until 5pm, is easy-going yet tasty, priced at S$44.90++ per person. It is served in a traditional 3-tier birdcage stand and includes both sweet and savory food items to cater to various preferences.
One should expect to be offered familiar cafe food items rather than complicated dishes, thus providing a casual experience. The set includes a cup of house tea blend. Though it lacks the sophistication of hotel lounges, this is its key selling point.
The highlight of the experience is impossible to overlook. A Mini Cooper has been turned into a booth cut in half and furnished with padded seats for four people inside. This booth becomes one of the main attractions in the cafe, which is worth experiencing simply due to its novelty and uniqueness.

How to choose the right afternoon tea spot in Singapore?
Choose Tea Lounge at Conrad Singapore Orchard for a chocolate-led afternoon tea with buffet weekends and a slower weekday set, especially for celebrations or longer catch-ups. Atrium at Pan Pacific Singapore works better for those wanting local Peranakan twists in a playful format, with buffet options on weekends. Lobby Lounge at the Westin Singapore suits novelty seekers who want a themed experience built around White Rabbit flavours, while TWG Tea is the straightforward choice for a classic tea ritual with a wide tea selection and traditional accompaniments.
ATLAS fits when the priority is an elegant, European-style setting in a grand Art Deco space. For lighter fruit-driven menus, Marriott Tang Plaza focuses on berries, while The Landing Point leans into strawberry-centric desserts with a more refined waterfront setting. Those wanting something more experimental can look at 1864 for carnival-style creations. Violet Oon Singapore suits Peranakan heritage flavours in a more cultural setting, 10|SCOTTS offers a relaxed hotel lounge feel, and Brunches Cafe is better for a casual, novelty-driven tea in a café environment.
