Singapore may not be blessed with gorgeous natural landscapes but we do have much more lush greenery than many cities, and a magnificent city skyline to boot. With buildings getting ever taller, it’s no surprise that many rooftop bars with gorgeous views of our garden city are very popular hangouts.

What better place to enjoy a tipple than a picturesque perch? Whether you’re on a romantic date or having a relaxing night out with your friends, these are our favourite rooftop bars in Singapore with breathtaking views.

2. Mr Stork (Andaz Singapore)

Come New Year’s Eve and National Day, the skies above Singapore are lit up by spectacular fireworks. If you’re looking for a rooftop spot to catch those colours blooming in the sky, Mr Stork at Andaz Singapore is your best bet.
Head up to Level 39 and lounge amongst the teepee huts and lush greenery at this destination rooftop bar with 360-degree views of the city. It’s a great place to chill and hang out with friends.
Speaking of friends, if you’re heading there in a big party of 10, remember to get the Aliya Maximus (S$188). It’s a large punch bowl that exudes tropical vibes, blending Ceylon arak and crisp coconut sparkling soda.

If beers are too boring for your taste, try some of the special cocktails concocted by their tribe of mixologists. The local-inspired Almost like Cincau (S$18++) is a playful medley of Titos vodka and grass jelly.
For something a little exciting that will tickle your taste buds, the Jalapeño Jamboree (S$22++) is an electrifying fusion of earthy Volcan Blanco tequila and fiery jalapeño.

3. Las Palmas (Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena)

Las Palmas at Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena is one of the most colourful drinking spots, sporting a sorbet palette that injects vibrant colour into Singapore’s equally vibrant drinking scene.
Popping very obviously with the verve and fun that hints at its inspiration from the joy and optimism of the 1960s, this 33rd-storey drinking hole is the epitome of balanced fusion. Its Americana, Mexican and Southern Californian menu has been given a decidedly Asian twist to be enjoyed poolside with panoramic cityscape views.

Make the most of that electrifying poolside energy with a Pool Cabana Package. You and your friends get 3 consecutive hours of cabana rental with a minimum spend of S$200++.
At sunset, watch the skies mirror the rose quartz bar counter that runs from the patio to the chic space indoors, where pastel terrazzo finishings draw the eye to iconic photographs by Slim Aarons.

Just as Las Palmas rethinks how a rooftop bar in Singapore should look, its cocktail menu reimagines how the classics should taste.
Nighthawks (S$28++) is a reference to the acute 1942 Edward Hopper painting Nighthawks. It’s listed— very appropriately— under the ‘Strong & Brooding’ section, considering the ingredients are Rye Whiskey, Italian Rosso Vermouth, Pastis, Strawberry, Root Beer Reduction, Chilli and Bitters.
A worthy inclusion in the ‘Getaway’ section is The Racquet Club (S$25++), a negroni spruced up with roselle, umeshu and charred grapefruit. It won first place at the Campari Asian Bartender Competition in Hong Kong and Macau.

How to choose a rooftop bar in Singapore
Choose based on the setting and occasion rather than the view alone. For a date or special occasion, Dusk @ Mount Faber Peak combines sunset dining with panoramic views, while 1-Arden Bar suits after-work drinks in the CBD.
For group gatherings, Mr Stork offers 360-degree city views and a large punch bowl, while Las Palmas has poolside cabanas with a minimum spend. If cocktails are the priority, SKAI Bar focuses on classic serves, while LeVel33 is more suited to craft beer drinkers. Southbridge works for casual riverside drinks and happy-hour deals.
The right choice ultimately depends on the occasion, preferred drinks and setting.
