From Sep to Dec 2025, regulars of Toa Payoh Lorong 8, Ang Mo Kio 628, Boon Lay Place, and Haig Road Market will need to plan ahead if they want to squeeze in their favourite meals before the shutters come down.
1. Toa Payoh Lorong 8 Market & Hawker Centre (22 Sep 2025 to 24 Nov 2025)
Known as one of Toa Payoh’s longest-standing food centres, this hawker centre houses around 80 stalls that draw loyal crowds. Among them is Hai Kee Noodle, beloved for its affordable wanton and dumpling noodles, and Sin Sin Prawn Crackers, where crunchy fried snacks are paired with simple, comforting bee hoon. Another standout is Chef Chik, where former restaurant chef Chik whips up hearty Cantonese rice bowls, claypot dishes, and double-boiled soups.
