Another day, another closure. In an unfortunately common story in this day and age, Privé Group has just announced the shutdown of all their outlets in Singapore on 1 Sep 2025.
In a social media post on their official Instagram page, the Privé Group thanked their customers while explaining the reason behind their shutdown.

The company lamented that the decision was made to close its doors due to “the combination of external market challenges and rising operational costs”.
The group also sent a message to their suppliers on 31 Aug 2025 with similar information.
This announcement came as no great surprise, as Privé Group’s various outlets around Singapore have been shutting down left and right. Its 313 Somerset outlet was repossessed by its landlord in early 2025, and its outlets in Paragon and Changi Jewel shut down earlier this year.
Prive Group’s remaining establishments at 7 Holland Village, Botanic Gardens, and Wheelock Place have all shut down, with their two outlets in the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) being taken over by Commonwealth Concepts.

Even if the Commonwealth Concepts name does not ring a bell, you may recognise some of its brands, such as Pastamania and Fat Cow, so it seems like the restaurants are in good hands.
In fact, they plan to convert the space used by Prive’s ACM outlet into a Baker & Cook outlet, with plans to open on 4 Sep 2025. The group has also appointed an independent financial advisor to manage the upcoming transition.
This comes as a gut punch to foodies, with Privé joining the ranks of numerous restaurants shutting their doors due to a shifting market.
Privé had a storied history spanning 18 years in Singapore’s F&B industry. At its peak, the group had more than a dozen outlets across Singapore. Despite their numerous outlets, Privé could never fully recover from the massive losses caused by the pandemic lockdowns.
