Japanese doughnut chain Mister Donut and bubble tea brand KOI Thé are collaborating to answer one simple question many have asked before: what does a bubble tea-flavoured doughnut taste like?

Mr Donut x Koi The - novena square outlet

From 16 Oct till 30 Nov 2025, Mister Donut will be selling 2 exclusive flavours of their beloved doughnuts in limited quantities daily. Being a fervent Mister Donut fan, I was quite excited to check them out.

Mr Donut x Koi The - golden bbt cream

First up is the Golden BBT Cream Doughnut (S$3), a fluffy, holeless doughnut piped with milk tea cream and chewy golden bubbles till it’s almost bursting. The doughnut is then drizzled with milk tea-flavoured chocolate and served.

It was tempted to lick the milk tea cream straight out of the doughnut like a greedy hyena. The cream has the distinct richness of milk tea, along with the sweetness you’d expect from doughnut filling.

Mr Donut x Koi The - pon de ooolong

Many have also compared Mister Doughnut’s signature Pon de Rings to little mochi balls or bubbles in bubble tea, and their Pon De Oolongs (S$3) bring that comparison to life. No, that isn’t a typo; they’ve added an extra ‘o’ to oolong as a silly pun.

The traditional pon de ring is opened up and filled with roasted oolong cream made with tea leaves imported directly from Taiwan, which lends the doughnut a deep, earthy taste.

Mr Donut x Koi The - roasted oolong teh gao

On KOI Thé’s side, they’ll be launching their Roasted Oolong Gao series of drinks on 16 Oct 2025.

The ‘Gao‘ in the name is the same ‘gao‘ you use when ordering drinks like kopi and teh, with the brand wanting to invoke that same strong flavour. They achieve this by using condensed milk to sweeten the drinks.

The Roasted Oolong Gao line will feature the Roasted Oolong Tea Latte Gao (S$4.80 for M, S$5.80 for L)Roasted Oolong Teh Gao (S$4.80 for M, S$5.80 for L), and Roasted Oolong Soya Gao (S$5.50 for M, S$6.50 for L).

Mr Donut x Koi The - free stickers

During the collaboration period, purchase any 2 of the exclusive doughnuts or 2 Roasted Oolong Gao drinks and receive a limited-edition sticker sheet with a total of 4 adorable designs.

If you buy a 10-piece doughnut bundle with at least 2 exclusive doughnuts at Mister Donut, you’ll receive a complimentary gift card for a 1-for-1 Roasted Oolong Teh Gao drink and free Golden Bubbles topping.

KOI Thé extends its hand in collaboration, too. Purchasing any 2 Roasted Oolong Gao drinks lands you a Buy-3-Get-3 Mister Donut voucher, letting you combo both doughnut and drink together.
