It seems that the weather in Singapore is really erratic these days, with the blazing sun out one moment, and thundery showers the next. But that’s okay, because no matter rain or shine, there are still plenty of things to do and places to go indoors. Keep reading to find out more, especially if air-con is your best friend.

1. ME Cafe & Games at Chinatown

Indoor activities Singapore - ME Cafe & Games

This recently opened indoor playground in Chinatown has more than 30 activities and games for you to enjoy, whether you prefer digital or physical ones. At ME Cafe & Games, you can try your hand at archery, challenge your friends in a racing simulator or work your reflexes in Floor is Lava

I recently visited this games centre hidden in a basement and shared what stood out most to me. You can read the full article here.

2. Elixir Esports at The Cathay

When I was just exploring the newly revamped The Cathay, I stumbled upon this sleek-looking gaming cafe. Turns out, it’s Elixir Esports’ latest outlet that opened a few months ago. For those of you like me who grew up playing games at cheap LAN shops, this is nothing like what we’re used to.

Yes, this is pricier than other gaming cafes, with the lowest entry fee being S$7 or S$9 per hour, depending on whether you are booking your own room. But what you get in exchange is a clean environment, private spaces for your own LAN party, and the latest gaming hardware.

When I stepped in for a moment, I was really impressed by the setup and the customer service. There was a cool space with an Iron Man statue, and the staff were really welcoming and happy to serve customers.

It seems like this place is meant for long gaming sessions, especially since it is open 24/7 and has a dedicated food and drinks menu. If you see yourself coming back often, you can also sign up for yearly VIP memberships. I’ll definitely be back with some friends to try out the gaming experience soon!

If board games and console games are a little too “chill” for you, and you want some run-and-jump action, SuperPark Singapore is the place to go. Known as one of Singapore’s largest indoor playgrounds, this fun arena at Suntec City is filled with fun physical activities and games. The playground is split up into a few sections, appealing to both kids and adults.

In the Adventure Area, you will find ziplines, slides and other obstacle courses. In the Game Arena, you can participate in a range of “super activities”, like Super Archery, Super Bike, Super Bowling and Super Dash

In the Freestyle Hall, trampoline platforms and climbing walls await, allowing you to jump, scale and bounce your way to new heights. Want to push your physical limits while having fun? Visit SuperPark’s website to book your tickets, and also keep a lookout for their promos!

5. Escape rooms

Maybe you’re done working out your body, and you now want an exercise for your mind. Visit one of the numerous escape rooms in Singapore! Places like Trapped and Xcape are popular and present visitors with different themed escape rooms. These rooms are immersive and will provide a thrilling experience for you and your friends. Some of them even feature animatronics and actors!

Most escape rooms are usually horror-themed or mystery-based, so make sure to choose the right one that fits your vibe. If you need recommendations on which escape room to visit in Singapore, check out our escape room guide here.

6. Museums and exhibitions

For the artsy folks, museums and exhibitions are also a great escape from the weather. And the best part is that for Singaporeans, you can use your SG Culture Pass credits to visit many of these places for free

National Gallery Singapore is one of my personal favourites and hosts numerous exhibitions throughout the year. Their latest exhibition, which just opened in mid-November, is ‘Into the Modern: Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston’. If you’re curious what the largest French Impressionist exhibition in Southeast Asia is like, don’t miss this one.

The National Museum of Singapore and the ArtScience Museum also have quite a few interesting exhibitions running now and into 2026. So if you’re in the city area and wondering what to do away from the intense heat or rain, this is a great choice.

7. Shopping malls

Indoor activities Singapore - The Cathay

When it comes to indoor activities, how can we forget one of Singaporeans’ favourite pastimes – shopping? With so many sales, promotions and pop-ups happening every month, you will definitely find something worth checking out at the many shopping malls in Singapore. But that goes beyond just shopping itself.

For example, from Nov 2025 to Jan 2026, Jewel Changi Airport has a series of Disney Cruise Line-themed installations at the Jewel Forest Valley and Canopy Park. This includes a 16-metre-tall Festive Tree of Adventure, which you should definitely take photos with. There is also an official Disney Store Pop-up experience, where you can find exclusive plushies, toys and other merchandise.

There are also malls that have been revamped recently, such as The Cathay and *SCAPE, which you can explore for a fresh retail experience. If you’d like more recommendations for new shopping mall experiences, make sure to follow our channels and website.

8. Bouldering & rock climbing

Indoor activities Singapore - bouldering

This is probably my favourite indoor sport of all time. Rock climbing is an activity that engages you physically and also creatively, as you need to solve problems in your mind before you get on the wall and while you’re on it. Bouldering is my favourite form of rock climbing because it is accessible and does not require much equipment to start!

This is also a highly social sport where you will discuss climbing routes with other climbers and make friends in the process. And in Singapore, most rock climbing is done indoors in well-maintained, air-conditioned facilities. What else is there not to love about it? Try it if you have never done so.

Be right back; booking my next climbing session.

9. Bowling

This is another indoor classic! Bowling is fun, has a manageable learning curve and can be enjoyed with many friends, especially if you belong to a competitive clique. There are bowling alleys at many places across Singapore, so you can visit one that’s most convenient for you.

Personally, for me, I’ve visited Kallang Bowl at Leisure Park Kallang and Sonic Bowl at SAFRAs around Singapore. I especially love Sonic Bowl for their Cosmic Hour, which turns the entire bowling alley into a dark, galaxy-themed space. For locations and pricing, visit the SAFRA website.

10. Arcades

And of course, we can’t talk about indoor fun without mentioning arcades! If you’re looking for the biggest arcades in Singapore, consider Timezone Orchard Xchange or Cow Play Cow Moo’s flagship arcade at Suntec City, which both offer hundreds of machines and hours of entertainment.

Timezone Orchard Xchange even features bumper cars and bowling, adding a bit of variety to the mix. Cow Play Cow Moo, on the other hand, has 2 separate halls at Suntec City. These halls are decked out with big claw machines, games and gachapon stations. When I last visited, I almost got lost (in a sea of fun, that is).

Aside from the locations mentioned, both of these arcade providers can also be found at multiple locations across Singapore. Find out more on the Timezone and Cow Play Cow Moo websites.

11. Keyboard shopping

If you’re more of a PC gamer or like building stuff, why not try keyboard shopping? You might think this sounds like a niche activity for the geeks only, but it’s actually pretty easy to get into. Not to mention, it’s also pretty therapeutic to choose your own keyboard designs and switches.

Many of the keyboard stores also have beautiful displays and clear sections, as well as friendly staff who are willing to share their knowledge if you don’t know where to start. For example, The Laboratory by RF features a guided keyboard-building experience. You can also browse and test different keyboards before deciding on your own purchase.

12. Workshops and classes

Indoor activities Singapore - Meso Ceramics

This is another one for the hands-on people! Maybe you like making something with your hands, or you’re into crafts. There are many workshops and classes you can sign up for, from pottery to perfume making to candle making. Some of these also allow you to use the SG Culture Pass, getting you a creative experience for free or at a discounted rate.

My most recent experience with something like that was at Meso Ceramics, which is a ceramic studio offering wheel throwing, mini pottery and other forms of handbuilding pottery. Though I am not into pottery myself, the friendly instructors, cosy space, and friends I went with made the visit memorable.

For a list of workshops you can try out in Singapore, read our latest article on the topic.

13. Tea appreciation

If you’re a tea person like me, there are tea appreciation workshops you can go to in Singapore. For example, at Tea Chapter, you will not just get to sample different kinds of tea, but also learn about the origins and culture behind Chinese tea.

Don’t sleep on this if you want to appreciate tea better! Tea Chapter offers a few Tea Appreciation Packages, which you can book here

14. Candlelight Concerts

For the musically inclined, you can attend Candlelight Concerts. These concerts happen a few times a month in Singapore, featuring music from famous soundtracks and artistes, but performed using string instruments

These concerts, which are held at various locations, offer a cosy musical experience under the warm, gentle glow of candles. You can view the full schedule of upcoming Candlelight Concerts in Singapore here.

15. Karaoke

If you’re less of an audience member but more of a performer, unleash your inner singer at the karaoke! With many karaoke studios everywhere, ranging from affordable and basic ones to pricier and more elaborate ones, you can definitely find one near you.

When the sun scorches or the rain hits a little too hard, there are few activities that are as accessible as having a karaoke session. Sing your heart out for a few hours with your friends and have some light bites while you’re at it!

16. Immersive experiences

Another category of indoor activities is what I call “immersive experiences”. These are not just your usual exhibitions, but are usually more interactive and multisensory. Think of VR experiences, 3D rides and puzzle-solving adventures.

A few that come to mind are Kulnari Mystery Golf, Alice: Into the New World, Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City, and Titanic: An Immersive Voyage

Some of these experiences are only available for a short time, while others are here to stay. Make sure to check back on our website for the latest events and experiences.
