Have you ever wanted to try the famous Dona Manis banana pies but felt too intimidated by the queue? Well, you may not need to queue any longer, as they’ve just opened their first sit-down cafe-style bakehouse, Dona Manis Heritage Bakehouse, along East Coast Road!

Dona Manis Heritage Bakehouse - outside of bakehouse

It’s a mere stone’s throw away from the Dona Manis flagship outlet in Katong Shopping Centre, and opened around mid-Dec 2025. I had a chance to speak with the owners and learnt that they opened the bakehouse because their outlet in the mall was just too small and cramped!

Dona Manis Heritage Bakehouse - pies on offer

Take a look at Dona Manis’ signature Original Banana Pie (S$4.50 for 1 Slice, S$12 for 3 Slices, S$40 for Whole Pie) and their various other offerings. No slice of pie is complete without a drink, so Dona Manis has collaborated with local coffee brand PPP Coffee to serve some soothing cups of caffeine.

This comes in a sweet combo deal, with 1 Slice Banana Pie + Espresso/Americano (S$9) and 1 Slice Banana Pie + Latte/Cappuccino (S$10). You can also grab a cup on its own, with white coffees like Lattes and Cappuccinos going for S$6, while black coffees like Espressos and Americanos go for S$5.

Dona Manis Heritage Bakehouse - Hidden Singapore game signage

Dona Manis Heritage Bakehouse is also a landmark for Monopoly: HIDDEN Singapore, a cultural trail game where players can visit historical sites and locations around Singapore to earn rewards. My understanding is that the game will run for the entire year of 2026, so you have plenty of time to play!

Dona Manis Heritage Bakehouse- banana chips, coffee, and banana ribbons

Snacks of all kinds are also available, including 3 flavours of banana chips that help educate people that there are many different types of bananas. Dona Manis offers Pisang TandukPisang Berangan, and Pisang Nipah; each variant has its own flavour profile ranging from sweet to savoury. The bags are priced at S$7.50 for 1S$14 for 2, and S$20 for 3.

Jars of Smoked Pisang Boyan are also sold at S$12. I hear they sell out fast!

Dona Manis Heritage Bakehouse - CNY tarts

Before I forget, let me introduce you to Dona Manis’ Chinese New Year snacks. It’s quite the spread this year, with offerings like adorably shaped Tangerine Pineapple Tarts (1 box of 18 for S$35, 3 boxes for S$100) and Longevity Peach Cakes (1 box of 18 for S$35, 3 boxes for S$100).

If that’s not your thing, consider checking out their tins of Lady Love Letters (1 tin for S$22, 2 tins for S$40)Pineapple Tart Rolls (1 box of 24 for S$26, 2 boxes for S$50), and Lapis Almond Mandarin (1 box of 250g for S$28).

Dona Manis Heritage Bakehouse is already up and running. Remember to head down to support them; it’s just a short 5-minute walk from Katong Shopping Centre!
