If you live along the Thomson-East Coast Line, there is a new destination for you to explore. Located right outside Lentor MRT Station Exit 1 is the recently opened Lentor Modern. This interesting 2-floor mall seems unassuming from the outside, but actually contains much more than meets the eye.

In this article, I will be covering some of the lifestyle stores and general areas that stood out to me. However, keep an eye out for another article by Aaron, which will cover the food options available at Lentor Modern.
When we both entered Lentor Modern for the first time, it took us a while to understand the mall’s layout. Because while the directory states that the mall has 2 storeys — Level 1 and Basement 1, in reality, it kind of functions as just 1 floor. “Basement 1” is actually located outside on a lower ground floor adjacent to Level 1.

Inside the mall, what immediately stood out to me were the eye-catching colours and lights that most stores had. One of the most inviting stores is Fun Claw, a space where families and kids can gather to catch some new toys. But claw machines aren’t the only things that kids can look forward to at this new mall.

There are also spaces like this for families to hang out. In this particular spot, there is a Children’s Play Corner, complete with a slide and bean bags. In another similar area, there are even photobooths where you can take photos.

Apart from kid-friendly spaces and stores, Lentor Modern also has a couple of gift shops, like M&G Life and Miniworld. If you’re looking more for goods for everyday needs, Cold Storage Fresh, Twigly’s and Furrest Supply are great places to check out.

If you have a green thumb, you would love Homegrown by BNC. This welcoming store houses numerous potted plants and bonsais, which you can add to your home garden. It will be easy to spot this store because of the variety of plants on display inside and outside.
Besides the stores I’ve mentioned, Lentor Modern also has pharmacies, clinics and enrichment centres. For the full directory, click here.
