If you’re crossing the border from Singapore, Causeway Link’s dedicated JPO buses provide a fuss-free way to get straight to the outlet mall without needing to transfer at JB Sentral.

Which bus should you take?

There are three Causeway Link routes that serve Johor Premium Outlets:

Route From To
JPO1 JB Sentral JPO
JPO2 CIQ 1st Link (Woodlands side) JPO
JPO3 CIQ 2nd Link (Tuas side) JPO

For travellers coming from Singapore, the direct JPO2 and JPO3 services are the most convenient. JPO2 is for those entering Malaysia via Woodlands Checkpoint (CIQ 1st Link), while JPO3 is for those entering via Tuas Checkpoint (CIQ 2nd Link).

Compared to JPO1, these routes have fewer stops, making the journey much quicker.

Bus fares

  • JPO2: RM4.50 one way (~S$1.41)
  • JPO3: RM6 one way (~S$1.88)

Exchange rate: RM1 ≈ S$0.31 (June 2026).

How to take the JPO bus from Singapore

Step 1: Make your way to Woodlands or Tuas Checkpoint

Unlike the popular CW1, CW2 and CW5 buses that depart from places like Kranji or Bugis, JPO2 and JPO3 only start from the Malaysian checkpoints. Cross via Woodlands Checkpoint if you’re taking JPO2. Enter through Tuas Checkpoint if you’re taking JPO3.

Step 2: Follow the yellow Causeway Link signs

After clearing immigration, head towards the bus bays and look for the familiar yellow Causeway Link signs. Board the CW bus that takes passengers across to the Johor customs complex.

Step 3: Pay for your ride

You can pay using ManjaLink card, Visa debit card, Visa credit card or cash. If paying with cash, remember to keep your ticket. You’ll need it later for the second leg of the journey.

Step 4: Clear Malaysian immigration

Once you arrive at the Johor customs complex, alight and complete immigration clearance.

Step 5: Board the JPO2 or JPO3 bus again

After clearing customs, look for the designated boarding area:

  • JPO2: Boarding Bay 24 at CIQ 1st Link
  • JPO3: CIQ 2nd Link bus bay

No extra payment is required. Just tap the same card you used earlier or show your paper ticket to continue your journey.

From there, it’s a comfortable ride straight to Johor Premium Outlets.

The open-air sheltered terminal sits within the Johor Premium Outlets compound, making it easy to hop on and off the bus. Nearby facilities include sheltered waiting areas, convenience stores, JPO Information Centre, washrooms, food court, cafes and restaurants inside the mall.

Check bus arrival times with the LUGO app

For added convenience, Causeway Link bus information is available on the LUGO app. The app lets commuters view estimated bus arrival times, check estimated fares, and top up ManjaLink cards online.

LUGO is available on both Android and iOS.
