Box饭 or BoxFan is home to former restaurant chefs who’re serving quality dishes from S$6 only. Located at The Brooks I Condominium, four partners left their full-time jobs at well-to-do restaurants to start their own cafe serving Asian food with a twist. Of the four partners, three of them were chefs from the now-defunct White Rabbit and fine-dining establishments in Mandarin Oriental and Raffles Hotel.
CreditAt BoxFan, you can expect to find ‘healthy’ comfort food like tasty grain bowls and bubble tea. The atas version of cai png will allow you to build your own bowl with the option of choosing your base, protein (ranging from S$6 – S$12) and sides. Like any true-blue Singaporean, they also serve bubble tea, mixed by an ex-Ce La Vi mixologist.

If you’re looking to head down for bubble tea and a light snack, they got your back. You can expect to find snacks like popular Salmon Takoyaki (S$5.80), Asian Spiced Edamame (S$4.80), Signature Prawn Paste Chicken (S$9.80), and many more.
Obviously, you have to try it to believe it but how often do you find yourself indulging in quality food at an affordable fare? One look into the dishes and you can tell that a lot of heart and soul goes into their items especially their beef and deep-fried dishes—which naturally takes a longer prep time to make. Additionally, they are also one of the few grain bowl-selling places that are selling their dishes at a slightly cheaper price.
