Westies rejoice, for Bukit Batok West Hawker Centre finally opened on 19 Mar! As Bukit Batok’s first proper hawker centre, this new addition to its food scene by Fei Siong Social Enterprise looks highly promising.
The centre is easily accessible since it’s just take a short bus ride from the Bukit Batok Bus Interchange. It’s also located next to Le Quest Shopping Mall, making it the perfect dine-in or takeaway place for meals on a grocery haul day at Fairprice Finest.
With over 80 tables, 22 food stalls and more than 400 seats, Bukit Batok West Hawker Centre serves as a communal food hub for people from all walks of life. You will find the stalls serving a diverse range of cuisines from Chinese to Western and even Vietnamese.
It’s on the smaller side for a food centre, as observed by yours truly and my colleague during our visit. However, the vast options did not disappoint. The crowds that had already filled the tables during its first day of operations told me all I needed to know.
Which are some stalls to look out for? I’m glad you asked.
