I somehow feel as though Tampines 1 is going to be the hot spot for food now, as with Hokkien Man Hokkien Mee’s entry into their hawker street, Chef Wei HK Cheong Fun follows suit, opening a stall at Tampines 1 Hawkers’ Street.

This is not their first rodeo. In fact, they have multiple outlets already open all across Singapore. Their newest outlet here at Tampines 1 opened on 15 Mar, and does not mark their debut into the East, for they already have an outlet at Upper Changi.

One might ask, what is there to eat at Chef Wei HK Cheong Fun?
Apart from the obvious, the regular chee cheong fun, another crowd favourite is their Prawn Cheong Fun. Their plump prawn filling is enveloped by the silky skin of the cheong fun, making it a savoury treat.
Some patrons even recommend pairing this dish with their chilli paste to give it that spicy kick at the end.

Another dish that is raved about is definitely their Char Siew Cheong Fun. The soft skin of the cheong fun is not overpowered by the succulent char siew, making it a delight to eat.

It would be a crime to drone on and on about their cheong fun without any mention of their dim sum. Their Siew Mai is juicy and has a bouncy texture to it, and biting into the pork and shrimp filling gives you a comforting, satisfying feeling.
With Hawkers’ Street in Tampines 1 only having opened recently in 2024, more hawkers are expanding and opening their stalls there. Chef Wei HK Cheong Fun’s entry will excite many who may have been waiting for him to expand to Tampines. Good for you, Tampines residents.
Please note that prices for the cheong fun and dim sum may vary between the different outlets.
