1. Prada Caffè (#02-15)

Tucked inside the newly renovated Prada boutique at ION Orchard, this is Prada’s first café in Singapore, and it wears the brand’s DNA on every surface. Think the signature Prada green on the walls and velvet seating, a black-and-white chequered floor that’s a direct replica of the very first Prada boutique in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and a curved glass façade framing Orchard Road like a runway backdrop. Dining at Singapore’s Prada Caffè was the ultimate fancy affair, and I’m already counting down the days until I bring my girlfriends back for another ultra-chic afternoon out!

I dined off pale-blue porcelain inspired by ancient Celadon pottery, paired with silver-plated, logo-embossed cutlery. The all-day menu runs from breakfast through evening aperitivo, and I started with the Fresh Burrata with Garden Tomato Salad (S$35) which was super refreshing and light on the palate. Alternatively, you can opt for the Beef Carpaccio with Rucola and Parmigiano Reggiano (S$36).
My dining companion and I also shared the Roasted Octopus with Piquillo Peppers and Cannellini Beans (S$38), and I have to say it was cooked beautifully — tender rather than chewy, with the sweet smokiness of the piquillo peppers cutting through the richness of the beans. The Crab Roll with Tarragon and Cream Cheese (S$42) was another highlight on our table; delicate and generously filled, with the tarragon lending a subtle aniseed lift that kept it from feeling too heavy. For something lighter and shareable, the Grilled Garden Vegetables and Rucola Focaccia (S$34) hit the spot — the focaccia was pillowy-soft with a good char, and piled high with perfectly grilled vegetables that still had a bit of bite to them.
For something more indulgent, there’s a Caviar Ritual featuring Kaluga Queen Oscietra caviar with blinis and crème fraîche (S$200), and a Negroni Ritual offering playful spins like the Strawberry or Green Apple Negroni (S$38 each). A tiered Afternoon Tea Selection for two, with madeleines, chocolate pralines and savoury canapés, runs from 2.30pm to 4pm (S$120 for two).

The tableside artisanal gelato (S$25) at Prada Caffè is an absolute showstopper! Complete with customisable toppings and a signature spray of edible fragrance misted over every scoop (featuring flavours like pistachio, dark chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry sorbet)! We found this interactive perfume touch so cool to experience, adding an unforgettable layer of haute-couture flair to dessert time in ION Orchard.

2. Blue Box Cafe by Tiffany & Co. (#03-11/12)

Sixty-five years after Audrey Hepburn window-shopped over a croissant, Singapore finally gets its own Breakfast at Tiffany’s moment. Blue Box Cafe marks the jeweller’s first café concept in Southeast Asia, occupying the third floor of the brand’s newly revamped flagship at ION Orchard, designed by architect Peter Marino. The space is drenched in the iconic Tiffany Blue, with the brand’s signature jewellery boxes suspended whimsically from the ceiling.

The all-day menu is a collaboration with Julien Royer, chef-owner of three-Michelin-starred Odette. The star of the all-day dining menu is the Signature Tiffany & Co. Burger (S$34++), a Wagyu-Angus blend topped with heirloom beetroot, arugula oil and goat’s cheese, alongside mains ranging from S$28 to S$58++. Come for Breakfast at Tiffany’s (S$78++ per person), or book the Tea at Tiffany’s set (S$98++ per person), a three-tiered spread featuring a croque madame with aged Comté, potato millefeuille with caviar, and a wagyu cecina roll with black truffle.

One dish that stood out on my visit (though pretty pricey) was the Toothfish with Ikura Beurre Blanc (S$58++). The fish was so soft it practically melted in the mouth, perfectly cooked and paired with a luscious, buttery beurre blanc studded with pops of ikura for a briny finish. It’s the kind of dish that makes you understand why Chef Royer has three Michelin stars — refined, comforting and utterly divine.
And now, my favourite dish and worth every cent — the Confit Yellow Chicken (S$48++), Chef’s elegant interpretation of Singapore’s iconic chicken rice. Niigata rice is cooked claypot-style until beautifully crisped at the bottom, then topped with confit chicken, crackling chicken skin, and a delicate Asian-inspired sake-seaweed beurre blanc sauce Albufera. It’s a masterful reimagining of a hawker classic through a fine-dining lens. Really worth a try!
For dessert, don’t miss “SniX” (S$22++) — a playful ode to his favourite all-American chocolate bars, reimagined with layers of chocolate and salted caramel. It’s every bit as elegant as it sounds, and honestly the dish I’d come back for over and over again.

3. Violet Oon Singapore (#04-12)

Right in the heart of Orchard Road, this Violet Oon outlet blends the elegance of a sophisticated estate home with Peranakan charm. The 102-seat restaurant features a main dining salon, three private dining rooms for more intimate gatherings, and a secret garden-inspired indoor veranda that makes you forget you’re in a shopping mall at all.

I frequently bring my overseas guests here to their all-day menu that traces Singapore’s food story through Peranakan and colonial-era classics. Start with Kueh Pie Tee (S$15) or Chicken Satay (S$18), then dig into staples like Ayam Buah Keluak (S$28) and Babi Pongteh (S$27), or the nostalgic VO’s Shepherd’s Pie (S$28) and Hainanese Pork Chop (S$34). My top pick is the Dry Laksa (S$29) (you can rarely go wrong with that), while dessert brings Gula Melaka Tea Cake with Gula Melaka Ice Cream (S$15). Daily high tea is served from 3pm to 5pm, and there’s an adjacent retail boutique stocking heritage treats like pineapple tarts, cashew cookies and gula melaka cake to bring home.

4. 1-Atico (#55-01, #56-01)

I’ll admit I booked a table here mostly for the view, but 1-Atico turned out to be so much more than a pretty skyline. Perched atop ION Orchard (218 metres above the streets) and accessed via the ION Art gallery lift lobby, this multi-concept dining destination spans two floors and three distinct identities: FLNT, FIRE, and the Atico Lounge & Bar.

FLNT serves up contemporary Nikkei cuisine, marrying Japanese precision with Peruvian bursts of flavour, while FIRE leans into authentic Argentinian asado, all live fire and smoke. We started our evening at the Lounge for cocktails as the sun dipped below the skyline, and I have to say, watching Orchard Road light up from 218 metres up while nursing a beautifully balanced martini is an experience that’s hard to top. By the time we moved on to dinner, we were properly won over, the char and depth of flavour in the grilled dishes were sensational, easily some of the best asado-style cooking I’ve had in Singapore.
It’s the kind of place that works equally well for a celebratory dinner, a long lazy brunch, or just sundowners with a view, and I’m already planning my next visit for their Grand Champagne Brunch.

5. The Marmalade Pantry (#04-11A)

One of Singapore’s most brightest homegrown F&B success stories, The Marmalade Pantry has been delighting us with its delectable array of food and drink since 1999. Its bistro-meets-local concept appeals to both locals and visitors alike. That fact is obvious when you visit ION Orchard during meal times. This is the place to be if you enjoy dining with a feel of closeness to nature; ample greenery and colourful flowers dot the dining area. Best of all, almost all items on the menu are eligible for a 1-for-1 redemption!

The menu is a mix of Western comfort classics and Asian-inspired dishes, think Maryland Crab Cakes (S$26++) with a delightfully fresh panko-crusted crab pocket, the ever-popular Kimchi Fried Rice (S$26++) served paella-style with sous vide steak and egg, and their well-loved Singapore Laksa (S$32++) studded with slipper lobster. I always find room for their Sticky Date & Toffee Pudding (S$14++), a dessert I’ve been ordering on repeat for years and one that never disappoints. If you’re there for a leisurely catch-up, their Afternoon Tea Set (S$60++ for two) comes loaded with finger sandwiches, buttermilk scones and their famous signature cupcakes.

6. Awfully Chocolate (#B4-50)
Awfully Chocolate, as we all know, represents pure indulgence. It’s for those days and times when you miss out on a great deal or tripped and scraped your knee. Don’t worry, the sweet, brown cacao beans will kiss it all better.
This homegrown chocolate institution has been a Singapore favourite since 1998, and their ION Orchard outlet is the perfect pit stop for a chocolate fix mid-shopping spree.

Go for their iconic All Chocolate Cake (from S$48), a rich, moist dark chocolate fudge cake that started it all, or the Chocolate Mille Crepe for something lighter and layered. This has been my go-to birthday cake for as long as I can remember, and it never fails to impress even the most die-hard chocolate skeptics at the table. Their Hei Ice Cream, made with premium Belgian chocolate and Dutch fresh milk, is dense, low-overrun and seriously indulgent, perfect paired with a cup of their signature hot or cold chocolate straight from the tap.

7. JUMBO Seafood (#04-09/10)
JUMBO Seafood has been a name familiar to most Singaporeans since the late 1980s, when they operated a single restaurant at East Coast Seafood Centre. This is where you head to if you love seafood and want a set meal while enjoying panoramic views of the city. I always end up bringing overseas guests here, no trip here feels complete without a proper chilli crab session, and this ION Orchard outlet makes it fuss-free with a swanky, modern space right in the middle of Orchard Road. Spanning over 5,400 sq ft with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the bustling street below, it seats up to 160 and has four private rooms for bigger celebrations or business lunches.

The signature Chilli Crab is, unsurprisingly, the star of the show and the dish I always order without fail, sweet, savoury, gently spicy, with that unmistakable eggy sauce that’s begging to be mopped up with their crispy fried mantou buns. It’s priced by weight (from around S$8.80 per 100g depending on the crab), so it’s easy to size up or down depending on how big your group is. If you don’t want the full crab experience, the exclusive Chilli Crab Meat Sauce with Sliced Fried Mantou (S$16.80) delivers all that flavour without the shell-cracking effort, while the Pan Fried JUMBO Chilli Crab Buns (S$8.80) and Baked JUMBO Chilli Crab Puffs (S$8.80) are great bite-sized starters. Other standouts include the King Prawns and Fragrant Rice in Rich Seafood Broth (S$38), a comforting pao fan-style dish packed with prawns, and the Crispy Fried Cod Fish with Nonya Sauce (S$22), exclusive to this outlet.

8. TWG Tea (#02-20/21)
Many Singaporeans are surprised to discover that TWG Tea is a homegrown Singaporean brand. It isn’t just on our list because of #SupportLocal, though. Their pantry boasts an expansive range of over 800 single estate fine harvests teas. If you are a connoisseur of quality brews, no trip to ION Orchard is complete without a stop here. There’s something quietly indulgent about stepping into TWG Tea, all dark wood, gold signage and shelves lined with tea tins in every colour imaginable.

For mains, the Genmaicha Mushroom Linguine is a comforting, umami-rich pasta dish infused with roasted rice green tea, while the Norwegian Salmon in Matcha Beurre Blanc pairs teriyaki-glazed salmon with baked coconut milk rice and a delicate matcha butter sauce. There’s also the Shrimp Beignets (S$27) and the tea-braised Pike Perch Fillet (S$28), or for something heartier, the Wagyu Tenderloin (S$48). Mains here generally range from S$27 to S$48, with portions on the smaller, refined side.
But it’s really the desserts that shine: don’t miss their famous TWG Tea Macarons (S$2.50 per piece), delicate and fragrant in flavours like Earl Grey and Vanilla Bourbon, or a slice from the Tea Pâtisserie Collection (S$8.50), a rotating trolley of cakes infused with different tea blends. For a lovely mid-afternoon option, go for the 1837 Tea Time Set (S$18++), which comes with a choice of scones or muffins, a pastry, and a pot of tea to share. A standalone pot of tea starts from around S$10.50 to S$11++, and is easily enough for two.

9. Hoshino Coffee (#B3-22)
Home of the authentic ‘hand-drip’ coffee perfected by master brewers, Hoshino Coffee is the place to enjoy the hot, the cold and everything in between. It is my go-to spot whenever I need a break from shopping and a little taste of Japan without leaving Orchard Road. Originally from Japan, where it has over 200 outlets, ION Orchard marked its very first venture outside its home country, and the warm, wood-panelled interior with cosy brown leather seats still makes it feel like a proper retreat from the mall crowds.

I always make a beeline for their Soufflé Pancakes (S$12.50), wonderfully jiggly and light, and honestly worth the short wait for them to be freshly baked to order. Their Omu Bolognese with Hamburg (S$21.80) is another favourite of mine, a fluffy wet omelette draped over rice with a hearty meat sauce underneath. If you’re in the mood for something a little different, the Single Fuwa Fuwa Hoshino Soufflé on Lobster Bisque Risotto (S$17.80) is a fun fusion plate, silky egg soufflé sitting atop a rich, tomato-tinged risotto. Their hand-dripped Arabica coffee is also worth ordering alongside, especially their signature Orihime Blend (S$6.20), smooth with just the right amount of body.

10. Food Opera (#B4-03/04)
Spanning 19,000 square feet, Food Opera elevates traditional hawker dining inside a sophisticated, 1900s colonial-inspired space filled with soft ivory tones, brass accents, and lush greenery. Home to 27 curated stalls, it brings together iconic heritage recipes under one roof — from Thye Hong’s smoky Hokkien Mee and Char Kway Teow to crispy Wu Xiang and prawn noodles from East Coast Lagoon. This is where I would go if I’m n a group and cannot decide on any single restaurant or café from the scores of choices at ION Orchard. It takes a Singapore-centric approach, which means that you will find all your local favourites in one place.

One of the most recognisable names here is Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodles. The LiXin Dry Signature Noodles and LiXin Soup Signature Noodles are the safest bet for a bowl of hearty, filling deliciousness.
Another stall where there is almost always a queue is Sergeant Hainanese Chicken Rice. Come here for generous servings of sauce and chilli but remember that you will not get the largest portions of chicken. It’s the best choice for the times when you are hankering for a tasty meal but are short on time.

How to choose where to eat at ION Orchard
Choose Food Opera if you are dining in a group with different preferences or need a quick local meal, while Hoshino Coffee suits a casual coffee break with Japanese-style dishes. For Singaporean and Peranakan classics in a sit-down setting, Violet Oon Singapore is a practical choice. Those after seafood and a larger group setting can consider JUMBO Seafood, which also has private rooms. For afternoon tea, Prada Caffè and Blue Box Cafe by Tiffany & Co. offer more occasion-focused settings, while Awfully Chocolate is better suited to a dessert stop. If views are a priority, 1-Atico combines dining with its rooftop setting. The right choice depends on your meal, group size and occasion.
